Can someone please explain to me how a listed screenplay can be 'loved' if the Script Revolutioner who appreciated it hasn't, as My Statistics confirm, viewed the script, let alone downloaded it.
I did recently give someone permission to produce a short which he hadn't viewed/downloaded on Script Revolution, however he'd stumbled across it on SimplyScripts - and later approached me via this site. But in the case of the former screenplay, it hasn't been listed anywhere other than Script Revolution.
I get view requests but in most cases no confirmation of downloading/viewing.
Either some people aren't even looking at the scripts they request, or the site software isn't doing its job.
The fact a few confirmations are received makes me lean toward the former -- ie, some people aren't looking at the stuff they request -- but who knows.
Drongo Bum - this is a case of someone hitting the heart logo, as opposed to requests to read. In fact, the majority of my scripts are set for anyone to read. The visitor just needs to download them without asking for my authority. I just can't work out how one can press the heart button if the record shows they've never been near the page!
"In fact, the majority of my scripts are set for anyone to read. The visitor just needs to download them without asking for my authority."
Is that a paid-members-only option? I don't see a way for me to set my scripts to free-for-all.

It looks as if this site may be powered by some interesting code. xD
I am a paid member - but wouldn't have thought that's a paid members only perk.
When submitting a new screenplay, tick the 'Bypass Read Request System' option - the third but last option - and your script is there for anyone, I presume, to read.
Okay, that must be a paid-members-only option: I don't have it.
You can favourite a script from any of the pages it's listed on, so that's how it will be happening without them viewing the actual detail page. I've found some people will favourite a script over just the logline. Their reasons are their reasons. It's not something I can really police.
Yes, some people make read requests and then never follow them up. It happens. I know some work to a time limit.
Being able to bypass the read request system is indeed a Rockstar only benefit.
Thanks CJ. Wasn't suggesting the system be policed - merely curious. Thanks for explaining.

Do you mean in the sense of the time between requesting access and being granted it? If so, that's gotta be limiting for people in very different time zones.
Another question:
Somebody requested access to some scripts and I granted it as soon as I saw the read requests.
A day or so later the member asked to be able to download copies of the scripts from my Google Drive account, since I have all my content there set to read only and they couldn't copy them from this site.
The fact the member discovered this indicates they accessed at least one of the scripts (otherwise, how else would they know they were read only?) but I never received a notification. Is that normal?
Cheers,
