Here you can build a portfolio while Industry members are welcome to search the database, create reading lists, follow writers, and reach out to them via private message.
Having launched in 2016, Script Revolution is built and run entirely by myself while funded by people becoming Rockstar Members or purchasing a copy of Turn & Burn: The Scriptwriter’s Guide to Writing Better Screenplays Faster. This keeps the platform focused on delivering results rather than maximising profit.
You'll find things are done differently around here. Writers are encouraged to study the craft, build detailed listings to help pitch scripts, and demonstrate value by gaining favourites. If there's one thing my experience in filmmaking has taught me, it's that producers aren't waiting for gatekeepers, agents, or managers to tell them what kind of scripts they should be making. They know what they want to make, mainly due to the resources they have, and thus, Script Revolution relies heavily on detailed metadata that allows industry members to search out content specific to their needs.
This is not a place that encourages you to gamble, seek mass approval, or hyper-focus on Hollywood. This is a place that encourages you to become the artist you need to be and find your unique fit in the world. Success stories on Script Revolution do tend to be modest, but they are real, typically helping writers kick off their careers rather than retire early. The platform also acts as a refuge for writers who've found that other avenues have drained them of money and motivation.
