“Mad Sergiy in Egypt”

This is a dark comedy based on real events from a Ukrainian IT company’s corporate trip to Egypt. The main character, Sergiy, is a functional alcoholic, slightly unhinged but deeply charismatic. His journey includes turning a five-star resort into chaos: flooding the hotel in revenge, broadcasting porn to the TV because there were no channels, interrogating a Russian roommate with anti-propaganda rants, and running an underground pharmacy for hangover-struck colleagues. Around him orbit characters who are even more wrecked: one slices his leg on corals, another smears feces all over the room while smiling in his sleep. Yet somehow, Sergiy survives it all — even manages to buy sweets for his kids before flying back home. A hilarious, grotesque, and painfully relatable story about burnout, booze, and brotherhood.
