Synopsis/Details
In a remote village where tradition dictates identity, “Hamid” struggles with an invisible enemy—Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). Convinced he is the most unattractive person alive, he hides from mirrors, avoids social interactions, and lives in constant self-loathing. But deep inside, he harbors an impossible dream—to break into the fashion industry, a world built on the very ideals of beauty he fears.
Raised in a conservative family that dismisses his ambitions as foolish, he faces relentless opposition. His father believes fashion is for the privileged, his mother prays for his “cure,” and society ridicules his obsession with appearance. Yet, when he stumbles upon an opportunity to step beyond the confines of his village, he takes a leap of faith.
As he navigates the ruthless fashion world, he battles not only external prejudice but also his own mind. With each rejection, self-doubt threatens to consume him, but a glimmer of hope emerges when he meets an unconventional mentor who sees his talent beyond his insecurities. Now, he must confront his deepest fears, embrace his true self, and prove that beauty is more than skin deep.
A Cursed Mind is a raw and emotional journey of resilience, self-acceptance, and the pursuit of dreams against all odds.
