Synopsis/Details
The animal defenders invite the company of the doghunters to a picnic, in the hope to change their beliefs. Acquainting, arguments and mutual reproaches take place on the way.
The destination is an abandoned sanatorium located far away in the forest, where they are met by a welcoming host with an unusual name Guide.
The doghunters leader is captured by the Guide, who explains that he wants to take revenge on one of them, without naming him, and the others will be tortured just for entertainment. Everyone wants to leave this place as soon as possible, but the deadly traps force them to look for new ways to safety.
Fights with the dogs, a pursuit by a truck and a fire bring victims, but change the attitude of the Main Character and his friend to what is going on. They gain courage and make the first attempts to confront the situation. The Main Character’s rigid actions, strength and self-confidence are mistaken for leadership qualities.
Other participants are driven by fear and demonstrate a desire to get out of the trap as soon as possible. Feeling helplessness of his fellows, the Main Character is constantly rude to them.
The Guide uses against the doghanters leader the ancient ritual knives, with which he injures everyone who dies.
The Main Character manages to persuade the survivors to attack the Guide. He motivates them by the fact that the traps are designed for those who try to escape, so, it is high time to attack. However, some people associate this with the Main Character’s wish to avenge the death of a girl, who he liked.
They manage to defeat the second assistant, but after facing the Guide they become seriously injured, deprived of an opportunity to move, and the Main Character gets captured.
The Guide tells that because of the Main Character’s childish antics his beloved dog died 25 years ago, but now it’s time to share the sufferings with everyone. Unwittingly, the Main Character recollects his difficult childhood, but is silent about it.
The Guide forces the Main Character to bury his mates alive, so as to cause him the first psychological trauma. And in the future, he plans to kill his self-consciousness as a person in him, having turned him into a kind of dog. The Guide names the Main Character as Barsick, the dog’s name.
Considered as dead, the bus driver attempts to kill the Guide by chasing him in the truck and effectively destroys everything in his way, but not calculating his force, he becomes a captive again. At that time, the Main Character digs his half-dead mates out and tries to escape. The Guide with a dog starts searching him, but is confronted with fierce resistance and is again forced to run for life. Taking the opportunity, the survivors in the minibus break outside the sanatorium.
The armed Guide is in pursuit, catches up his victims and brutally kills everyone, except for the Main Character, who, in order to save his life, demonstrates humility and agrees to respond to the dog’s name.
Now the Main Character is going to live in a cage and on dogs’ food for a long time.
