Synopsis/Details
10 year old Danny and his sister, 9 year old Pamela are allowed to go trick or treating in their Washington DC neighborhood without their parents for the first time. In their adventures they visit a party filled with known political figures, which was so perverted, that Danny wanted to leave because it felt like they were on the set of the film Caligula. After the party they go to their school's Halloween carnival, where they encounter even more political figures, this time revealing their extreme political ideologies and personal oddities. On their way home they encounter a 27 year old fifth grade bully, the familiar type who keeps being held back in the same grade, but to a ridiculous degree. They survive the encounter using their wit, along with a little ass kicking. They arrive back home to find their Ronald and Nancy Reagan mask-wearing parents making love on the couch. The kids are too tired to notice or care. Next year they plan on insisting that their parents come with them. The jokes in this short are constant and layered, much like the films Airplane! and Blazing Saddles. The humor is, at times, offensive and politically incorrect. It mocks well known political figures for their physical traits, extreme political ideologies, and questionable personal behavior. This short could be easily adaptable to a sitcom pilot.

The Writer: Kenneth Bly

I'm new to the world of screenplay writing. I'm currently writing a narrative screenplay for director/Producer Errol Morris, based on a book that I co-authored. Let's just say that I'm on a wicked learning curve, and a hell of a fun ride.My hope is that I emerge from this process with a successful screenplay, and perhaps follow up with more writing.
