Episode 1: “The Possession”
Three-Page Plot Summary (Teen Voice)
Okay, so here’s how the first episode goes down:
We open in 1991, and things are immediately crazy. There’s this massive old manor burning to the ground, people are screaming, and it’s clear something supernatural is going on. A teenage girl named Destiny is running through the chaos, trying to find someone. Turns out she’s witnessing her best friend Jamie getting beaten to death by a man who’s not acting human. She’s helpless to stop it, and barely escapes with her life before the whole place collapses. Everyone else dies. It’s a massacre.
Fast-forward to 2021, present day. Destiny’s older now, totally changed, and living in a small town called North Ridge. She’s got a teenage daughter, Dessaire, who’s just graduated high school. Dessaire has been having these super vivid dreams about places she’s never been, and people she doesn’t know — but it all feels real. There's this one place in her dreams that keeps coming up: Wolfe Creek.
So Dessaire convinces her friends to skip out for the day and go investigate Wolfe Creek with her. The crew includes Marko (her boyfriend), Lola (her best friend), Tyler, Sam, Jason, and Nathan. They're a pretty close group — each one has their own vibe. Marko says his granddad used to tell him stories about Wolfe Creek — about a group of teens who went missing back in the 80s after running into some creepy cult people out there. That grabs everyone’s attention.
Meanwhile, Destiny finds out Dessaire’s been having the same kind of dreams she had when she was younger — the same dreams that led her to that burning manor. That freaks her out, big time. When she calls Dessaire and finds out the group is actually heading to Wolfe Creek, she hangs up and immediately gears up for war. She digs out this magical shotgun called The Mourner, blessed by a dying priest (no joke), and races to Wolfe Creek to stop whatever is about to happen.
Back in the woods, the group finds the creek and this huge, creepy mansion overlooking it. But the real discovery is when Tyler finds an old, broken-down cabin nearby. They all meet up at the cabin, and it’s giving serious horror vibes. Sam even jokes it feels like Yellowjackets, and Nathan says it’s more like Stranger Things. You can tell everyone’s scared, but Dessaire pushes them to go in. She feels like this is connected to her dreams — like the answers are inside.
Inside the Melvin Cabin, it’s nasty. Old, rotting wood, peeling wallpaper, smells like death. They split up to explore. We cut to a shot from inside the cabin, and someone is watching them. We see it’s Joseph — this creepy, older guy with glowing green eyes and a scar over one of them. He says something in French (S’élèver creux) — and boom, Marko suddenly drops dead right in front of everyone. No warning, just seizure and gone.
The group is panicking. Before they can move, Joseph attacks and literally throws Tyler across the room like a rag doll. The group tries to escape, but the front door is stuck. Lola nearly gets grabbed, but Dessaire distracts Joseph by throwing something at him. He stops and stares at her — like he knows her. Then he says: “You look like her…”
Sam smashes a wine bottle across Joseph’s face, giving everyone time to grab Tyler and try to escape. But then, Marko sits up — only it’s not him anymore. His eyes are glowing purple, his skin’s pale like a corpse, and he’s moving like something straight out of a horror movie.
They run.
Marko chases them, and right when it looks like someone’s about to get caught — BAM — Destiny shows up with her shotgun and blasts him with this huge burst of white light. It sends Marko flying. She reloads and blasts him again, just to be safe.
She yells at the teens to get back to their car and meet her at her house. They run off, but before Destiny leaves, she sees Joseph standing in the window upstairs. They lock eyes. She aims her gun — but he just watches her and disappears back into the shadows.
Episode ends there. Total chaos. One of their friends is now possessed, and they have no idea what they’ve gotten themselves into.
