Synopsis/Details
In the Nyndrene System, the crew of a mercenary airship is caught in the middle of a social revolution. A seemingly innocent cargo run sends the captain and crew into their not so innocent pasts. The Main Characters: The crew of the airship, The Absynthian are Captain Synthia Ryan,1st Officer, Commander Vaja de Cardia, Pilot Riven Stracke, Engineer Tea’ Embrosia, and analyst Jules Valenz. They also happen to be members of a secret anti-government organization known as Tri-Aengle. As hired mercenaries, assassins, and over-throwers of political systems, each of them is given a job to do in order to take down the government’s ruling monarchy: the St. Clairs. In the pilot: Under pressure from his father to produce an heir, prominent socialite and ruling government member Reeve St. Clair marries Vaja. She agrees; she considers it a lucky break that he just so happens to be next on her hit list. Captain Synthia Ryan and Vaja discuss the difficulties of hiding in plain sight. Vaja informs her captain that the hit ordered from Tri-Aengle on Vaja’s husband will finally happen upon the ship's return after the current cargo run. However, the ship is attacked and all crew suffer slight bouts of amnesia, putting their mission and the anticipated revolution in jeopardy. Synthia meets with the notorious Narius de Vaulte – former Tri-Aengle member and ex-lover of Vaja - in secret, and their own agenda begins to take place which includes Synthia agreeing to transport cargo from Narius back to the capital city of Lythos. What the cargo is, he won’t say, but the pay is high enough to make Synthia agree. And the ship's engineer, Tea' Embrosia is on the run from her abusive past. Vaja, short tempered and impulsive, hides behind cleverly crafted walls of steel. After suffering par-amnesia from an airship battle she is unable to complete her mission of assassinating Reeve; indeed, she doesn’t even know who he is (she’s not so sure about herself, either). Narius wonders if the memory loss is a farce and Synthia eventually comes to believe Vaja is committing treason. Vaja’s husband and crew mates have their own secrets and the web so carefully woven begins to unravel around them all. Reeve’s sister has gone missing, and could be involved in the unraveling plot, leaving Synthia paranoid about who the real puppet master in the game is. Meanwhile Narius, slowly building his own army of cyborg warriors, becomes obsessed with Vaja’s return to him, exploiting the secrets of the St. Clairs, and getting his job back at Tri-Aengle – all by any means necessary. The seemingly innocent cargo run puts the entire crew in harm's way, and the shipment Narius gives Synthia could be the answer to everyone's questions.

The Writer: Seregon O'Dassey

My name is Seregon O'Dassey. I've been an actor for most of my life and in the process of working in the Film/TV industry I have fallen in love with the process of creation that happens behind the scenes. I've always been a writer, but have made the decision to make the next step in creating my own work. The screenplay for my science-fiction/steampunk soap opera (steamopera) TV pilot, "Absynthia" has already won several awards, and the pilot is currently in post production. I am also in the process of adapting a fantasy novel (not mine) into screenplay format. Go to bio
