Synopsis/Details
Ira, a withdrawn teenager, struggles with relentless bullying and a hostile home life under the care of his harsh grandfather. When a dance instructor notices his raw potential, Ira glimpses a way out — a chance at confidence, acceptance, and identity. But as personal failures mount and past traumas surface, the fragile hope he clings to begins to unravel. Set against the backdrop of a small-town dance scene, Adversary explores the thin line between transformation and destruction, showing how the pursuit of validation can twist into something far more sinister.

The Writer: Brandon Banks

I am a screenwriter focused on psychological horror and science fiction, with a passion for stories that blur the boundaries between memory, identity, and reality. My feature screenplay Threshold explores themes of mental health and cult manipulation, while my short Adversary was a TMFF Semi-Finalist. I write to provoke both unease and reflection, drawing inspiration from films like Memento, Hereditary, and Get Out. My goal is to craft atmospheric, character-driven scripts that resonate with audiences and collaborators alike. Go to bio
