Synopsis/Details
Age of Prophecy is eight one hour episodes following Lee, a discarded orphan forced into a destiny he doesn’t want. He possesses an ancient power sought after by his father; whosoever wields the unholy gift shall rule the Lyra constellation and beyond. This is an epic in the vein of Showtime’s American gods in a dark, adult Star Wars universe without the non-human cast. It is a tale of revenge and redemption infused with a rich culture and religion.

Thirty-three years prior in the age of expansion, the then Anuk emperor ALCREDES DELFER, invaded the holy planet Aladfar, causing Queen ZIRA ENLIL-ZHOR to unleash an ancient power to save her civilization. After realizing she and Alcredes were deceived, Zira surrendered. Years later, before her alleged death, she hid the means to access the power within her sons, JAGAREN and LEE ANDOR. When Zira died, Alcredes passed rule to his heir, never to be heard from again.
From early on Jagaren discovered his superhuman abilities, and was indoctrinated into the priesthood by his ambitious father, Lord ARRAN ANDOR. Five-year-old Lee, remarkably normal, was left for dead on the industrial planet of Mu. With Jagaren at his side, Arran embarked on a course to reshape the imperium, and ultimately usurp the throne.
We open with Lee in his late 20’s, in the slums of “Beggars Junction.” He is an arrogant, self-serving hustler with a penchant for helping others he doesn’t really want to. He is content driving a dump truck in space and dominating the race track on the weekends. He dreams away his spare time with fantasies of moving to Hyperboria-Ki…you know this world as Earth – an advertised “Promised Land.”
Among Lee’s associates is an older con man, MANNIE. Nothing is really known about him, except his incessant hacking of military ships in dry-dock, and his constant nagging for Lee to leave Mu. Desperation fractures Mannie’s facade, and he puts Lee and his adoptive family in danger.
Lee outwits a corrupt bureaucrat in league with Mannie, but pays a heavy price when the bastard recognizes him. Not wasting time, the official promptly sets off to inform Lord Arran Andor.
On the desert world of Sulafat, the exotic ELS’BETH steals one of Queen Zira’s hidden artifacts, inadvertently waking Lee’s subdued power. She grew up with Lee, and now sells her skills as a professional thief. With enemies on her tail, she attempts to stay as far away from Lee as possible.
When Mannie seduces Lee into an illegal affair, Lee ends up alone in the imperial capital, Vega-Prime. There he meets the eccentric and granddaddy-like character, ALFENESTRA DELFER. He learns about the path his mother set him on, and the unsettling fact that humanity’s fate is in his hands.
Zira’s bloodline was destined to usher in prophecy, believing that the Creator shall speak to mankind on a blue gem surrounded by an ocean of fire – Hyperboria-ki. Sinister forces seek Zira’s power to reshape the empire, while others want to control the narrative of conversing with the divine.
The emperor graces Jagaren Andor with the title, “Destroyer of Worlds.” Over the years, Jagaren earned his reputation for destruction and cruelty in a militant branch of the priesthood controlled by Lord Arran. But, prior to yesterday, Arran thought Jagaren was his unchallenged, all-powerful tool. He makes preparations to be rid of Lee once and for all. His hatred for Lee stems from a secret he must keep buried.
Tragedy rains down on Lee’s loved ones, signaling his departure from intentional avoidance to reluctant conscript. He joins THALIA ASTRID - a gun-toting cutie, jealous Els’beth, and a misguided few. Together they forge Lee’s power into the weapon they want, with the ultimate goal of destroying Lord Andor, Jagaren, and the priesthood.
A shadowy figure emerges, sparking a showdown on Hyperboria-ki. A purge order is issued to wipe out all life in the colony, and the fundamental nature of Zira’s power is unleashed on the experiment called, Earth. Ultimately, someone controls the narrative.
