Synopsis/Details
NORMAN BOGGAN, a devoted Christian, sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and family man, struggles with the very objective of his job - kill or be killed. But, things quickly change on a rooftop, under hostile fire when Norman has to run for his life. He watches his platoon gunned down and is near death himself before the calvary arrives just in time to pull him from the clutches of the grim reeper. Now stateside, Norman recovers at a Virginia Veteran’s Hospital but when Norman goes on the attack - pummeling corpsmen and tearing apart a hospital room, his manic behavior prevents him from being the one thing he covets most of all - being an American soldier. COLONEL HOLMES, the hospital’s commander, makes the decision to relieve Norman of his duties. Despite Norman’s pleas to remain in service, his emotional appeal falls on deaf ears. The Colonel discharges Norman, unleashing him - unhealed, onto the world. Norman is forced to adjust to civilian life. Making matters worse, tensions at home start to boil. His mother - in - law, LILY DOMINGUEZ - a bigoted helicopter mom, triggers Norman’s paranoia. Date night with his wife, CHRISTY BOGGAN, exposes Norman’s worsening condition. Forced to find a new line of work, Norman’s degree in Political Science lands him at a local university but unbeknownst to the school, Norman’s delusions are growing. A final encounter with Lily drives Norman to seize a classroom full of millennials and hold them hostage. Within moments, a live feed goes viral and a media frenzy ensues gaining Norman national attention. A tactical team is dispatched to storm and take back the classroom but Norman - disguised as a student, avoids detection. He escapes and sets off on a path of destruction, sneaking into his own home attempting to slay his wife and children. Overhearing the commotion, neighbors call Police who in-turn rush to the scene of the crime capturing Norman and taking him into custody. All hope for Norman seems lost when an impromptu jailhouse interview with the press makes Norman’s struggles with mental illness apparent to the world. But later, a single lucid moment leads Norman’s arresting officer, DETECTIVE COARSE, to take an interest in his case which changes the tide. Further investigation reveals that CORPSMAN BRIDGES, a former friend of the family and Norman’s nurse, purposely induced Norman’s psychosis. When Norman discovered that Bridges along with the help of the Colonel supplied the hospital with inferior medication for profit, the two conspired against Norman to keep their secret. Interviews with former patients also released under the administration’s care lead to Norman’s conditional release. Unfortunately, after losing everything, Norman becomes very comfortable with a soldiers objective and seeks vengeance on the man who started it all.

The Writer: Anita Williams

I returned to academia late in life and was fortunate enough to attended an instution where the Alumni reached back to help the current student body. To make a long story short, I was exposed to the entertainment industry and instantly fell in love. I rushed home, read all I could on scriptwriting, took more writing classes and plopped down in front of my computer. I wrote. Revised what I wrote. And wrote some more. This went on for a few years. Then I decided, if I was going to really pursue this love of writing, I had to let other eyes view my work. I entered a small contest - and won. I was ecstatic. Someone not only read my story but liked it. This only fueled the fire to write more.… Go to bio
