Rachel has lived most of her life alone. Sent away as a child into a foreign world where she's found herself always settling for second best. Her boyfriend is cheating with her best friend, her mother just died and she's plagued by a past that she's desperate to forget. When the local lawyer goes missing, Rachel is summoned to Romania to sign for her mother's assets and finds herself back at her childhood home. She soon finds out all is not as it seems and wakes up a week later with her friends by her bedside. Together they try to navigate a religious cult that prays to a different type of god in a commune that changes its face during the night. The allure of home, of family, tears Rachel between the friends she grew up with and the past that she was forced to leave behind.
