Synopsis/Details
This sitcom pilot episode features a diverse group of students at a fictional UK University who have recently moved into their Halls of Residence to begin their first semester. Simon (the idiot), Adam (the player), Isaac (the smart one), Zara (the tough one) and Niamh (the mother hen). The episode begins with Niamh arriving at Barneswood University and Professor Jones (the stuck-up antagonist) taking her to her new accommodation. There they meet the other four who are engaged in a drunken, rowdy and "unbecoming" arm wrestling competition. Professor Jones becomes outraged at what he finds to be an appalling display. After he storms out, Niamh gets to know the others in the group. The men decide to go on a night out at the Students Union where they meet Robert, another person from their accommodation outside of the main group. He informs them of an incident that makes Simon realise that he urinated in Robert's room during a booze related blackout the previous week. However, Robert is unaware that Simon was responsible as the room was too dark at the time. Zara and Niamh eventually join them and become clued in on what Simon did. The next day, Simon accidentally reveals to Robert that he was the one responsible for the incident in Robert's room and Adam is revealed to have also done something of a similar nature. This infuriates Robert who chases them through the hall. They attempt to hide in the shower but instead end up interrupting Isaac while he is using them. This results in Isaac attempting to forcibly eject them but only embarrassing himself in the process. The three are then brought before Professor Jones to explain themselves and receive a week-long ban from the Students Union as a result. The episode ends with the group forming a close bond, with other idiotic escapades on the horizon for potential future episodes.
