Synopsis/Details
With a call from the bank looming and a good chance he may lose his house, struggling screenwriter writer Malik absently wishes life could be more like the movies. He awakes the following morning, having fallen asleep in his office. His family calls him as the bank is now on the phone. When Malik tries to negotiate with the manager about his mortgage, he can only talk to the bank manager in famous movie quotes. "I don't know who you are; I don't know what you want. If you are looking for a ransom, I can tell you I don't have money, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career, skills that make me a nightmare for people like you... Taken." After some more of this, his wife eventually wrestles him away from the phone, only to discover that the curse can be transferred via touch. Soon, the whole family is afflicted. This short has the potential to be turned into a feature celebrating all that we love about cinema. This Be Movies script won a theatre competition in Dubai out of 200 staged entries.

Scriptwriting is a particular area of expertise and is as much a passion as it is a profession of mine. I have been commissioned to work in various aspects of the discipline, including plotting, dialogue, character development, and fully completed texts. In 2016, I returned to a full-time University education and achieved first-… Go to bio
