Synopsis/Details
The story begins by following the first 18 people to hear about Corso Corsicana's death. From his dear wife, Lilah, to his sister-in-law, Polly, we see how the news of his death impacts all of people in his life. However, no one seems to be interested in the fact that he was murdered. As various theories are mulled over, the conclusion is that anyone could have killed Corso for any reason. As his assets are divided amongst the people close to him, the picture of Corso's life becomes clearer and clearer. Corso was the most interesting man in the world, who lived many different lives, but his business was shady at best. Of all of Corso's secrets, the one most secretly kept is by Polly, who would do anything to stop the world from finding out that they were in love. As everyone in Corso's life finds a way to move past the horrific incident and find peace, Polly remains heartbroken. She desperately wishes she could let him go, but the mystery of his death nearly drives her insane. In her pursuit of the truth, she ends up finding Corso Corsicana, alive, living on the beach in Florida. POLLY, IN COMPLETE SHOCK, KILLS HIM.
