I'm a storyteller who loves telling stories. As with most writers, I got the bug at a very early age. It started with poems for my mother. A single mother raising two kids is tough. So tough, that it wasn't uncommon to see her feeling depressed or stressed. So I'd write her small cheesy lines to cheer her up. It was fun and I learned to be creative with my words. Then one day, in elementary, I recieved my first essay assignment. We read a story about a guy who escaped captivity. The assignment was to write our own rendition of the story, but make it different. It was supposed to be no more than two paragraphs. I wrote five pages.
