Willow Thompson is trapped in a broken body that has been worn down by years of chronic illness. To make matters worse, she awakes one morning to find that her sight has abandoned her along with the last vestiges of her independence. Her childhood friend, Marty, seems to be the only one who cares for her, but certain events lead her to suspect that he is hiding something from her. She begins to witness strange and unsettling things as her sight returns to her for short periods of time. She begins to feel even more isolated when she confronts Marty who refuses to tell her anything to protect her from the truth that will tear her apart. The truth is inevitably revealed and Willow is sjshocked and to find that the source of her pain stems from her mother.
