Synopsis/Details
Twelve-year-old Luna probably shouldn't be so attached to stuffed animals at her age. Her classmates might give her a pass if they knew Quacky Duck, Lieutenant Pony and Oinkers were the last Christmas presents she received from her mother before she was murdered by her alcoholic husband. On a friendless Halloween afternoon at an abandoned playground, Luna is accosted by a sadistic skeleton-costumed vagrant who announces his intent to systematically destroy the three things she loves most in life. In a twisted subversion of Dickens' A Christmas Carol, their ensuing physical and psychological battles wreak havoc on Luna's adult life, with each stuffed animal serving as a metaphor for her failings as a romantic partner, small business owner or, eventually, a mother herself. Luna must rely on her imagination to not only outwit her seemingly invincible arch-enemy, but unravel why she’s been selected for such cruel lifelong torment in the first place.
