Following a devastating series of incidents which nearly destroyed an entire town, the community members rally together to rebuild and strengthen their resolve to restore their community pride. Under the sage leadership of the town mayor, one man steps ahead and announces his candidacy for state senate. Isaac Simmons meets with the mayor, agrees to be interviewed by news broadcasters, and strategizes to rebuild the community. Along his journey, he meets Angela Hughes, a feature columnist for New York Institute Magazine. Angela Hughes travels to the local town of Isaac Simmons and witnesses his transformation of the community from a location of rubble to a reconstructed epicenter. Angela Hughes finds more than a place to write an article about, she finds a place of inspiration and hope and even after she returns home, she finds her own journey on recentering her priorities and focusing more of her attention upon her marriage. Lionel Fitzpatrick embarks on his own journey toward evaluating his priorities which leads him to marry a woman he has kept at arm’s length for many years, yet has never before solidified a relationship with. Lionel Fitzpatrick’s own marriage inspires Dr. Lauren Ascott’s son to find his own happiness and marry a woman who he works closely with. Lionel Fitzpatrick also turns out to be a strong state senator candidate himself, because he has a remarkable ability to access and provide resources to the community members unlike any other community representative ever has. Nicole Rutherford was once a graduate student who had high hopes and dreams of aspiring. However, after being rudely pulled out of her program of study and left without a plan, she found herself working at a high end fashion warehouse. A distinguished gentleman from her past, Dr. Walter Prescott left a significant impression on her yet their paths parted only to reconnect years later. Dr. Walter Prescott has travelled to the town on his own book tour, then stays to accept a contracted position as an on-site psychiatrist at the same high end fashion warehouse where Nicole Rutherford is employed. Common themes are optimism, inner courage, aspiration, and community pride.
