Synopsis/Details
Dan Shepherd has millions of fans and countless awards, but one big problem, nobody knows who he is. Dan plays Paws, a loveable, mute dog on the hit children’s show The Twonks. He feels ignored and looked down upon by the rest of the cast and the acting world in general. He has a huge crush on fellow Twonk Kathy, but she is in a relationship with the show’s director. Dan’s best friend Nick wants him to move on and dive into the scary world of online dating. His father languishes in a retirement home and spends his time complaining about his lack of grandkids and pretty much everything else. He doesn’t realize that the money from the sale of his house is running out, putting more pressure on Dan to keep paying for his care as well as survive in the current cost-of-living crisis. Dan also needs to conquer his anxiety and self-doubt which began when his mother died. When he meets Sarah, one of the carer's looking after his dad, things begin to look up. Trying to navigate the choppy waters of children’s television, Tinder and retirement homes proves difficult, but Dan is convinced one lucky break is all he needs.
