A romantic night on the town turns tragic for doctorate student WARREN BYRNNER and his fiancée when they are hit by a drunk driver. When Warren wakes up from a coma six weeks later, he learns that the accident killed his fiancée and left him partially brain damaged. To learn to live with his new handicap, Warren is placed in a transitional home for semi-sufficient mental patients. He hates it there. He hates the staff, who treat him like he's a child.
