Synopsis/Details
Jennifer Fortune, a porn actress, is offered one million dollars by Robert Wilson, a multi-millionaire, so he can act in a porn film with her, which features a simulated rape scene. But when the film is shot, she is assaulted by Robert, who punches her unconscious, and continues having sex with her. Jennifer claims rape and the case is taken up by the DA's assistant, Rebecca Curtis, who leads the prosecution, against Daniel Freeman, who acts for Robert. The case hinges on Jennifer's profession, and Robert is acquitted. Later, Rebecca and Daniel become an item, to Jennifer's disgust. Jennifer's feminist sister urges her to reject men and become a lesbian. Jennifer finds some solace when she falls in love with Anna Talamon, a French porn actress.

A Review from NYC Screenplay Awards.

In a therapist's office, Dr. Cheryl Davis engages in a candid discussion with Jennifer Fortune, a professional
adult film actress. As they explore Jennifer's life and desires, Cheryl's own fascination emerges subtly.
Meanwhile, wealthy businessman Robert Wilson fixates on Jennifer, eventually gaining control of her film
production. In his corporate world, Robert's detachment is highlighted by his mix-up of employee names,
emphasizing his singular focus on Jennifer. As Jennifer grapples with her profession's moral dilemmas, including
a contentious role, her sister and therapist offer contrasting perspectives. A disturbing turn occurs during the
filming of 'Millionaire's Choice,' revealing power dynamics and a real-life breach that alters Jennifer's life. The
aftermath, from reporting rape to the trial's disappointing conclusion, exposes societal biases and legal hurdles.
Jennifer seeks solace and redemption in Paris, finding support and love to rebuild her life.

The narrative's strongest element lies in its unflinching exploration of the complex and often controversial issues
surrounding the adult film industry and how this ultimately affects the psyche and worldview of the protagonist,
Jennifer. By delving into the multifaceted challenges faced by Jennifer, the story goes beyond the surface to
unravel the nuanced layers of her experiences. One of the most commendable aspects is the story's commitment
to portraying the adult film industry without sensationalism or reductionism. It acknowledges the industry's
controversies, power dynamics, and societal stigma without resorting to stereotypes or simplistic judgments. This
nuanced approach allows for a more authentic representation of the challenges Jennifer encounters, offering
viewers a chance to engage with the character on a deeper level. The protagonist's perspective becomes a lens
through which the audience witnesses the struggles, both personal and professional, inherent in the adult film
industry. The narrative doesn't shy away from addressing the moral dilemmas Jennifer faces, such as
participating in a contentious rape fantasy film and the societal repercussions of her career choice. This
introspective aspect humanizes Jennifer, elevating her from a mere stereotype to a fully realized character
grappling with complex decisions.

The Writer: Peter Gartner

I wrote a few screenplays a while back, but now I have a place to submit them. At the moment I am painting in watermixable oils and have a gallery at FineArtAmerica. I am concentrating on art now, but if there is some interest in my screenplays, I could submit more. I start with "The Lightship". I have now posted some more. I want to create original scenarios with surprises for the audience. I do not want my scripts to be predictable. The unusual is always best. A script should be a journey. You don't know the destination, but you will enjoy the journey getting there. I like to explore the psychology of my characters, to give the story more depth. Also, there is now a link to my paintings… Go to bio
