Synopsis/Details
Introduction The protagonist is an active and cheerful man who is always engaged in something. He rollerblades, teaches children to draw, invents things. The only time he is still is when he sleeps. His life is constantly filled with phone calls – acquaintances call him, leaving an ambiguous impression: are they his friends, or just people used to his presence? Their communication is cold, reduced to seeking advice on important decisions, but each conversation begins with criticism and accusations of his laziness and inactivity. It seems that his entire life is built around these people, their calls, and their problems. But is this his conscious choice? Or has he simply become accustomed to this rhythm and does not realize how his own "self" dissolves in the lives of others? Inciting Incident One day, the protagonist is rushing to a meeting, holding a gift. It is clear that this meeting is important to him, and he looks forward to it with joy. But suddenly, his phone rings. We do not hear the words, but his reaction makes it clear – the meeting has been canceled. He throws the gift into a trash bin standing on a bridge. After doing this, he continues walking but stops a few steps later near a massive column, as if gathering himself. His face reveals a storm of emotions – disappointment, anger, exhaustion – but he tries to regain control. At that moment, he notices a strange figure – a person standing on the other side of the bridge railing. His face is hidden in shadow, but it is immediately clear: this person is about to end their life. Development of Events The protagonist instinctively leans forward to get a better look at the stranger. Their eyes meet. At this moment, a silent dialogue is born between them – fear, surprise, confusion, but also mutual presence. They begin to talk. As the conversation unfolds, the protagonist gradually understands why this person is there. The stranger speaks about their life, how they feel unwanted, useless, that their existence has no meaning. They are tired of loneliness, pressure, and the absence of hope. Then the protagonist does something unexpected – he takes out his phone and, without hesitation, throws it off the bridge. This action is so sudden and shocking that the person on the other side of the railing freezes. The protagonist calmly tells them, "Now I’m also unreachable to someone. Now we have a choice – to move forward or stay in this moment." This act ignites something important in the stranger. Suddenly, the conversation takes on a more friendly tone. Slowly but surely, the protagonist convinces them to climb back onto the bridge. The stranger does it. Now they stand side by side. New Friendship After this event, their lives begin to intertwine. The stranger – a person who was just on the verge of despair – now becomes a part of the protagonist's world. He observes him, learns from him, discovers new aspects of life. They spend time together, talk, and gradually, a real friendship is formed between them. Meanwhile, the protagonist faces the consequences of his actions. Returning home, he turns on his laptop and sees dozens of missed calls and messages – his friends had been trying to reach him, and, unable to do so, they started to get angry. He sends them a short message and goes to sleep. The next morning, he is awakened by a doorbell. A courier brings a new phone – a gift from one of his "friends." Shortly after, he receives a message from a mobile operator – the process of restoring his SIM card has begun. Soon, another ring – a courier delivers breakfast. All of this is done by the very same people who constantly criticized him, but now their actions speak for themselves – they care about him. Meanwhile, his new friend continues to observe the protagonist’s life and becomes a part of it. He starts opening up, finding interest in everyday things he had previously ignored. He learns that life can be easy, fulfilling, and interesting, even without a clear plan for the future. Finale One evening, the protagonist sits at his desk, writing something in his notebook. At that moment, his phone rings. He picks up – it’s his new friend, the person from the bridge. But now, the conversation sounds familiar: the caller yells, accuses the protagonist of laziness, inactivity, of living "the wrong way." However, hidden between these accusations is the real question – he is seeking advice, asking for help in making an important decision. The protagonist does not argue; he simply listens. When the conversation ends, he puts down the phone, smiles, and opens his notebook. Among many notes, he makes a new one: writing down his new friend’s name and number. The End.
