Synopsis/Details
Sophie (21), has spent her entire life in this small town in the middle of nowhere with an extremely tight community that shares in a large secret. Her mother Kate (50) runs the town bar and restaurant, training Sophie in the many aspects of the job that serve both the business and the community. For years Kate has been seducing and capturing unsuspecting men traveling through town only to slaughter them to help feed their community. Now, as Ryan (35) enters the bar with some car troubles, it's Sophie's turn to reluctantly take over the role for her mother. Ryan seems like the charming type, certainly not like the cheaters and other guys coming out just looking to have a good time and this makes Sophie second guess not just her role in all of this but the very construct of the town that has been in place for many years. When Ryan finds himself at the mercy of Sophie and Kate, he persuades Sophie to help him escape from her murderous mother and this crazy town. Wanting a better life for herself, Sophie agrees to help Ryan but when the odds turn against them she has no choice but to side with the town.

The Writer: Nathan Smith

Welcome to my profile! I am Nathan Smith from Blaine, Wa and have been writing scripts and short stories for many years. It's only been more recently that I've started reaching out and sharing my work with other people and testing the industry waters so to speak. I've had some local success, winning a Script-To-Screen contest from Bellingham Film. My winning script was turned into the short The Fork ( https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10777088/ ) which has had some success in festivals. I hope to make some great connections and look forward to sharing my work! Go to bio
