From an early age, I was obsessed with Steven Spielberg’s E.T. I’ve lost count how many times I watched and re-watched this film, in order to “feel” its visceral emotions. Along with Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, and other classics, they excited me in ways only cinema could and showed me that becoming a director was a possibility. Upon leaving university, I wrote, directed and self-funded my debut feature film, The Grandisons.
