Synopsis/Details
In 2006, T.V host Subbu, 24, sets out on a trip across India, from Kanyakumari to Kashmir without money. Ananya, his girlfriend accompanies him. While Subbu hosts this reality show, Ananya documents the entire endeavour on camera.Surprisingly the free food, places to sleep and the rides somehow manifest themselves everyday. Thanks to his dad's cynical upbringing, Subbu struggles to trust people. Subbu tries to convince his dad Karan to telecast the show on his News channel. Karan turns him down for lack of 'conflict' in the story.Unable to endure the hardships, Ananya ditches the challenge half way. Subbu hires a new cameraperson Gangadhar and moves on. Subbu faces several insults and rejections which are apt metaphors to life and its many struggles.Enamoured by the benevolence of the Indian masses, Subbu transforms from a pessimistic media maniac to a hopeful human being. He is then keen on proving that India is filled with kind and welcoming people whose humble stories are never seen on TV.Enroute to Jaipur, Subbu captures some rare footage about a drug mafia. Karan secretly strikes a trade-off with the mafia. This leads to an action packed climax which involves saving the video footage from the drug cartel and the estranged relationships with his Dad and girlfriend.

The Writer: Subbu Peteti

I am an award-winning writer/director and my work spans across the film, T.V and commercial worlds. I have written and directed several shows in India,Germany, France, Netherlands, Thailand and Malaysia. I love tennis and practice Kriya Yoga for my mental health & wellness. Probably, I am the only one in the world who has traveled across India, for forty days, seven thousand kilometers absolutely without money. I have documented this experience and also wrote a book on the same. Learnings from this unique adventure are what I bring extra to the table. I am now making short films to prepare myself for the features. I am looking out for good writers and short stories. Open to… Go to bio
