Synopsis/Details
In Ancient Greece the Greeks hid inside a wooden horse to reek murder and mayhem on their enemies.
What if a modern-day serial killer had a similar idea? imagine waking up in the middle of the night and suspecting there is someone or something concealed inside your bed waiting to pounce. Your instinct would be run for your life. But what if you're incapacitated from a serious back injury and can barely move?
This is the dilemma our hero, a feisty young nurse, is faced with when she is drawn into a life-or-death battle with a cunning, blood-crazed killer hellbent on her demise.
Playing on the horror trope "what's under the bed?" by putting the monster inside the bed, Deathbed is a contained horror with exciting action set pieces featuring unique scenes that horror fans are sure to love.
The script has received excellent coverage. Highly respected screenplay analyst, Andrew Hilton (The Screenplay Mechanic) liked 'Deathbed' so much he put it on his prestigious 'Lugnut List.' It placed second out of the 551 scripts he consulted on that year and along with much praise added: "It has "genuine franchise potential."
'We Screenplay' also gave 'Deathbed' a "Consider." In their coverage the analyst said: "It feels like the kind of story Stephen King would have written as a novel and that is a really awesome comparison to have for a horror film.”
