Synopsis/Details
Self-made, 80s stylized character, Val Brazil has found herself in the big city after connecting with Silver Fox, an older American who promised to not only marry him but to make him a star. After a bizarrely original performance in her brilliantly colored costume, the two have drinks and cheers to an advantageous future. The fantasy comes crashing down when she ends up in a shadowy room being abused by leather-clad men as Silver Fox films the whole thing to make a profit. Unable to connect with the character of Val anymore she resorts to improv in a small theater but has a nervous breakdown as she is berated by other participants and has to be dragged off the stage. Abandoning the character, the human wallows in his own tedious filth and tries to forget until his hired cuddle buddy discovers an old picture of Val and convinces him to become her again which triggers torturous memories of the rape and betrayal to resurface. His anger builds, creating a disturbed, unforgiving character who devises a plan to not only get rid of Silver Fox but who he used to be.

The Writer: Brandi Self

Produced, Award-Winning Screenwriter I create surreal, carefully constructed stories that dissect love, morality, oppression, identity, perception, alienation, and stagnation by catapulting characters into sometimes absurdly juxtaposed worlds where they must use self-examination as a tool for escape and redemption. Influences: Ari Aster Rod Serling/Twilight Zone Charlie Kaufman David Lynch Franz Kafka Background: I guess it all began with me hanging out of the back of a moving van as I threw raw meat to an angry grizzly bear, hoping the cameraman could get the perfect shot. Yeah, I started in production, reality television to be exact. But, it wasn’t all bad, I got to party with rock stars… Go to bio
