Synopsis/Details
Life couldn't be better for Robert Fletcher. The former working-class kid from the wrong side of the tracks is now a fourth-year pediatric resident at a prestigious hospital and engaged to Helena, a beautiful blonde. The only imperfection in his life is that Helena wants him to give up caring for kids and become a wealthy Beverly Hills plastic surgeon like her father. They argue about it one night, and Robert takes off in a huff. He comes back hours later with alcohol on his breath and a beat-up face he claims he got from falling down some stairs. That's when everything starts to go wrong. Presently, Robert is arrested, accused of being a vicious, serial rapist. The evidence against him – his own DNA – seems incontrovertible. His fiancee and friends abandon him. Faced with decades in prison, Robert undertakes a desperate gamble to prove his innocence, uncovering a dark secret, and jeopardizing his life and that of his long-lost love.
