Synopsis/Details
Commissioner Ferré, heartbroken by the death of his wife from illness, develops a split personality. One personality is dedicated to his work as a detective, while the other is prone to murder.
Ferré investigates a series of brutal killings without realizing that he himself is the perpetrator during his dissociative episodes.
His daughter, Giulia, is a student at an all-girls school, and her best friend is Elena Deodato, a wealthy heiress. Together, the two girls help Ferré uncover the truth behind his blackouts and the mysterious murders. The Chief of Police, Ferré's superior, discovers his disorder and decides to exploit it for his own personal gain, blackmailing Ferré and ordering him to kill on his behalf.
The victims chosen by the Chief of Police are all connected to him, and their deaths would bring him economic or personal advantage. Elena, using her resources and determined character, proves to be a valuable ally to Ferré and Giulia, helping them gather evidence against the Chief of Police.
Despite their efforts, the situation deteriorates. During an operation to frame the Chief of Police, Ferré, in the throes of a dissociative crisis, attempts suicide. Inspector Bernini’s intervention saves his life, but the Chief of Police manages to escape.
Giulia and Elena, determined to stop the Chief and avenge Ferré, chase him to the airport. A shootout ensues, during which Ferré, trying to protect his daughter, is fatally wounded.
Elena, in a fit of rage, seriously wounds the Chief, preventing his escape.
After Ferré’s death, Elena cares for Giulia, supporting her through her grief. The Chief of Police is arrested, and Giulia moves to California to live with her half-brother. The film ends with the promise of a future reunion between Elena and Giulia once they have achieved their goals.
