Synopsis/Details
Lucas, who's extremely Caucasian, keeps getting rejected by equally white women. Adding insult to injury, the displaced 29-year-old learns he must be married by age 30 to inherit his grandma's house. Then Lucas meets Esperanza, an African American stunner and soul sister extraordinaire, and sparks fly between them. The problem is Esperanza, feeling the pressure of being a black woman, has just made a solidarity pledge with her best friend to only date black men. So she denies her true feelings. Meanwhile Lucas rescues Casey, a classically beautiful blonde, from an unwanted admirer, and she develops a crush on him. Lucas starts spending time for her, and it seems like she might be a better match. Casey, unaware and not exactly sane, begins to scheme to keep Lucas and Esperanza apart. But luckily Vanessa, Esperanza's older sister and an adept matchmaker, steps in to help Lucas. Antics ensue as they work to win him Esperanza in a series of comically strategized situations. Amazingly, Lucas and Esperanza discover they have a lot in common and romance seems on the brink. Now, with time running out, Lucas must convince Esperanza that they belong together

The Writer: Greg Gray

I decided I wanted to make films when I was fourteen. I've been writing scripts since my teens and started making short films in my twenties. Despite my efforts to be a well rounded person, I live and breathe cinema. My influences include Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Tim Burton, Franco Zeffirelli, Cameron Crowe, and in recent years, Christopher Nolan. Go to bio
