In a future dystopian Africa, a virus has plagued the continent. Albinos were thought to be the cure due to their natural immunity. Ayo, the last living albino on the continent, is discovered when his camouflage watch malfunctions. A passing drone catches it. Akuji is the leader of the Harvesters, a criminal faction of the Malikoran migrants who harvest organs and produce regeneration serums with the tissue to sell on the black market. Akuji was the recipient of the drone footage and begins his hunt by raiding Ayo’s village. Akuji has a wife and unborn child in stasis until he finds the cure for the virus. After coming back from suspension, United World Alliance agents Kali Saha and her partner Oz Iwobi investigate the raid on Ayo’s village and find that Akuji was the culprit. Kali’s past with Akuji drives her to want to find Ayo before Akuji does. Along the way, Ayo meets Samuel, a desert bandit who helps and trains him on his journey. Helping Oz and Kali is Gandhi, a rogue artificial intelligence. All this happens over the backdrop of the African landscape and the utopian mega-city, Fenix.
