The experience of being sexually assaulted, forever links these three girls in the small town of Portland, Maine. They are tired of blending in, tired of accepting the worst, tired of their apathetic town. So they take a stand. One decision leads to a suspension, a huge protest, and a small town in a frenzy. They uncover the worst but discover that they aren’t as alone as they thought. No matter how bad it gets, the girls stand by each other and take the heat through the racism, misogyny, and belittlement.
