At home, Stu's family is out growing their modest house thanks to his wife's new catering business and their three growing sons. Feeling pressure to buy a bigger house from his wife, Stu must find a way to get enough money together to do so before his marriage becomes more stale. Thanks, to his best friend, Will, Stu learns about a Tecmo Super Bowl Championship with a large cash grand prize in Madison, Wisconsin. Realizing this is his best shot at getting the money for their dream house, Stu enlists the help of his fellow teaching buddies to sharpen his skills in Tecmo Bowl and hit the road to enter the Tecmo Super Bowl Championship. The friends set off on a three day road trip, experiencing several set backs along the way that ultimately strengthen their bond and their own personal issues. Eventually the gang makes it Wisconsin in time for Stu to compete at a chance for the large cash grand prize.
