Synopsis/Details
Ellie, an elite business woman sits comfortably in a high class corporation, however little does she know that she and a few of her co-workers will soon have their jobs axed. When the inevitable happens, Ellie is devastated, walking out on her boyfriend, as she realizes that the future for her is bleak as with so many long-term unemployed people. Gateway Hospital is one way that the government deals with those who can no longer function within nor contribute to society. Note: Based on the author's own dystopic science fiction "Ellie in 2089" published in the literary magazine 'Write Away', Winter 2003, under the name of Nicole Matthews.
