Synopsis/Details
BETSY KING (28), a wild, city-dwelling, party planner lives a life of selfishness and deceit, not appreciating her brother, the one person who does care about her. During one of her parties, she gets busted selling drugs and is sentenced to six months in prison. When released, her life looks a lot different: She can’t plan parties anymore or take drugs or drink; she has a pestering parole officer and an ungodly amount of community service hours to complete. While living in the suburbs with her brother, Betsy quickly falls back into her mendacious ways planning funerals for people who want services ranging from a simple poem read during their eulogy to elaborate gambling on time and cause of death. Her complicated lies and audacious past quickly catch up with her, threatening the reinvigorated relationship with her brother and the newly formed bonds with the people in her life. Betsy decides to face her past and tell the truth before losing everyone in her life who truly care about her.
