Synopsis/Details
A decade after a thwarted alien invasion, a post-apocalyptic Earth simmers while rebuilding. A terror attack on New Rome — one of few cities — is used as cover by a militant faction to steal secure alien technology, a Core, which leading expert Dr. Sherman warns can unleash immense power. This leads an elite unit – Elf, Sky, Wolf (a mutant), & Muffin (a robot); Griffin Force’s Team Alpha – to capture cyber warlord Leon Hex who’s connected to the faction known as Manticore. It is led by Colonel Vlad, who has a vision for a new world powered by the Core. Manticore attacks Griffin Force and retrieves Hex. Not ones to back down, Team Alpha tracks them to a secret mountain facility only to discover that Dr. Sherman is working with Manticore and has convinced Col. Vlad to use the Core’s energy to merge organisms and inorganic matter to create an army of cybernetic chimeras just like Wolf who the defeated aliens made and Col. Vlad’s vision of an invincible army to protect humankind. Forced into a live fire test, Team Alpha proves resilient while Dr. Sherman’s zealous ambitions lead to an accident. The energy from the Core cannot be controlled, begins transforming the facility, and shows its true purpose: terraforming. Team Alpha escapes in the nick of time before the facility is incinerated. This was due to some unlikely allies: one of Manticore’s units with augmented soldiers who depend on the new technology are disillusioned with Manticore’s cause. After interrogating, Dr. Sherman, he reveals Col. Vlad’s secondary plan: a bigger terror attack against New Rome. And with the Core in Manticore’s hands, more attempts to make chimeras are still possible. Team Alpha and their new allies swoop in to destroy Manticore. An epic battle in and around another facility sees Col. Vlad defeated, his army of robots destroyed, and the Core secured. And the city of New Rome is safe. Team Alpha makes friends with their new allies, now Team Bravo. The world is safe again but... the shadowy forces behind Col. Vlad now see they must act and have already abducted Dr. Sherman for their plans.

From the "2023 SCREENWRITING FELLOWSHIP on SCREENCRAFT"
"The action is intense and relentless. The sense of growing doom is strong… the human and character-driven moments sprinkled throughout are strong. The worldbuilding is good, and the sense of constant fight, alert, adrenaline, chaos, comes across well. The definitions of 'humanity' and 'friendship' and 'loyalty' and how those boundaries move are well done…"
