Synopsis/Details
Betty and Annie are life long friends, in a small town in Colorado. During a school recital, Betty earns her reputation as guitar Betty when she wins the admiration of the crowd. Years later guitar Betty is a waitress at the local restaurant, on her down time she writes music and plays for the customers. One day Anne convinces her she should go to New York and win that winner take all music contest. She tells her prize is a 3 album record deal with a New York label. At first Guitar Betty doesn't want to go, but that changes when she has a fight with her abusive boyfriend and knocks him out. Right there and then they take her just barely working suv, with little money and make the long trip to New York.
