Guy, Murder!!

Chapter I: “GUY” Harsh is at his office and he is solving a complex back-end problem which may take an average engineer extra hours at the office but not Harsh. He is an exceptionally brilliant coder and he solves it without breaking a sweat. This act just makes him really popular at his new workplace & everyone kinda starts accepting him as a team member. He calms down everyone in the room & tells them to stay alert for a while this may come back in a few hours. He checks his watch which says the time 3:50 in the evening, which indicates it’s tea time for him. He leaves for his home which is at walking distance from his office. He reaches five minutes to four. On his way, he bumps into Mr. Rai, his next door neighbour. Mr. Rai recognises Harsh as his new neighbour & starts to chat him up. Mr Rai, a retired police commissioner. Mr. Rai ends the conversation by inviting Harsh to join him for tea one day when he feels like. Mr. Rai leaves for some meeting and while Harsh in the elevator goes to his apartment. He opens his door and puts the key on the counter top. His apartment is filled with cartons of unpacked stuff. He has a generalised set-up with basics of bed, kitchen & sofa set but all the decorative & his own personal mementos for achievements are still to be unpacked. He puts on the pot with water for tea as he browses through his messages from his mum, who is scheduled to come & visit him in 2 days to set-up his new apartment. Her messages are just telling him how he shouldn’t open any of the cartons before she arrives. He replies back assuring her how he hasn’t unpacked anything except the essential, plus how he wants her to stay for a month rather than a week just to help him adjust to his new surroundings. He takes out half a glass of milk for tea from the refrigerator and pours it in the pot with already boiling water & tea leaves. As he reaches for elaichi powder, his phone rings. He attends to the call and shuts down the gas, covers the pot and puts on his shoes. He locks his apartment and leaves through the elevator. He goes to the office and as he predicted that the problem might resurface again, it did. He fixes the problem with much more conviction so it doesn’t occur in the future again. Everyone was already accepting him but they now truly wanted to celebrate their new boy wonder. To celebrate, Harsh & his office colleagues go out to have some snacks and few drinks. Everyone started to introduce themselves to Harsh & vice-versa. He even started to feel a bit comfortable around these people. He started to feel a part of the team himself. He checked his watch & it showed 06:15 in the evening. He said his greetings & left for his home. He on his way also picked up some dinner as well plus some more milk as well. He on his way also got a call from his mom. He started to tell her about all the people he met today plus how he is starting to adjust to the new surroundings. Hearing these words from Harsh’s mouth made his mom happy & assured as well. She before cutting the call also reminded Harsh to lock all the doors plus check them before he sleeps, check if the gas knobs are off & the lights as well. He assures her, he’ll do the same with due diligence. He checks his watch again & reads the time as 6:45 PM just before entering his home. As harsh steps into his apartment’s vestibule area, he suddenly gets shot in the neck. Bullet passed through and through. Hence, creating a hole in his windpipe due to which he starts having a hard time breathing plus his blood is filling his mouth, he collapses onto his knees. His hands drop the food and try to stop the bleeding from his neck. He is just unable to stop the bleeding plus he isn’t getting any oxygen and in a few seconds he falls face down. He dies from a bullet that came from his neighbour’s house, Mr. Rai. Chapter II: “Brother & Sister” As Harsh is leaving his apartment and is waiting outside for the elevator to come to his floor, i.e., 12th floor. Harsh enters simultaneously, Dev comes out of the elevator. Dev is Mr. Rai’s son and he works a desk job at a call center. Dev exiting the elevator & walking towards his parents apartment has a bit of an anxious look on his face yet he enters the house. His mother greets him and offers some sharbat. He refuses and comes straight to the point he came there. He asks his mother for some money and specifically asks her to not share this with Mr. Rai. She accepts that but tells him that this is the last time she is lending him money & save a part of his income from next month. He promises his mother he’ll do the same but the promise seems empty for some reason. On his way out he notices his sister, Vidya’s trophy, which she got for being an excellent rookie in a business convention. Vidya had many other trophies as well but this one was made of gold. She also holds this trophy very close to her heart because this increased her business options. Dev picks up the trophy as well and his mother even tells him to not pawn this for some petty cash. He refuses & puts the hat on her mother to explain to his sister where her trophy has gone. Before she could even revolt this more, he leaves. Dev pawns the trophy and gets some more cash. He calls his girlfriend, Anvi, informing her that he is coming to pick her up. She agrees to meet but says to come fast as she has a party to attend in an hour. He picks her up from her house and then both of them go to a market. Dev buys Anvi a necklace from the cash he collected earlier. This necklace is something Anvi noticed on her first date with Dev. She is happy with this gift but she really didn’t need it. Dev became really happy as soon as Anvi tried on the necklace and the smile on Dev’s face stopped Anvi from saying anything. Dev asks to join her to the party but she refuses because it’s a party with her office people. He asks to drop her at least but she again refuses as her friends are coming to pick her up from here only. Dev gets a message from his sister, Vidya, asking him to pick her up from the office as her car is in the garage. He kisses Anvi bye and leaves. Dev reaches Vidya’s office and parks his motorcycle. He asks for his sister at the reception. The attendant tells him to wait while he informs Vidya. She is in the middle of a meeting with many of the executives of her company present. She is an assistant risk manager and soon to be promoted to Risk Manager. She is currently presenting a presentation on how the new investment the company is making just doesn’t fulfill the company goal. Many of the middle level execs revolt to this and the room starts to unite on how making this particular investment would be a potential asset for the company. The higher administrative executives also start to hear out how the investment may turn out to be a huge asset. The attendant from the reception enters the room without anyone taking notice. He directly approaches Vidya and informs her that her brother is waiting for her outside. She tells him to give her brother the message to wait for 10 minutes. Vidya intervenes in-between all the shouting and makes eye contact with the CEO. She just straight up tells him how this investment may be an asset in the short term but in the long term it will turn out to be a massive liability. She also suggests to start again in the research for where to invest. She reassures everyone in the room, how every investment they will bring her will have risks involved but it’s her job to assess which has the maximum profits for the company plus the least risky. The CEO agrees with her & orders everyone to start looking for the new list of investors. He also asks Vidya to not to leave the meeting room as he wants to have a private meeting with her. She thanks him for listening to her and asks what he wants to ask in private. He tells her he listened to her as she is about to become his new risk manager. Plus, he wanted her to come early in the morning & sit in the meeting with a nearby tech company. She readily agrees, greets him bye and leaves the room. She meets up with her brother at the reception who tells her it’s been 20 minutes since he came here. She just tells him to come along fast. On their way to the elevator, she gets a call from her mother of how she is leaving to walk around with her friends plus she is leaving to buy some groceries and it may take around an hour. Vidya just replies okay and cuts the call. Both the brother & sister leave on the bike. They reach home at correct Six in the evening. Vidya lives with her parents while Dev stays with his friend in a rented apartment. Vidya asks Dev to come up to the house. He refuses at first, due to him selling Vidya’s trophy but eventually gets convinced by her older sister to come up for coffee. On their way to the apartment, Vidya tells Dev about a new next door neighbour(Harsh) who moved here a week ago but stays in all the time. Dev just nods along. Vidya keeps her things in her room plus goes to use the bathroom once. Dev just looks at this as an opportunity to look for note their mother may have left for how her trophy is missing. He finds it clipped to the fridge and quickly crushes it & throws it into the dustbin. Vidya finds Dev a bit startled and asks him what he is upto. He just nods at nothing. She ignores Dev’s awkwardness and proceeds to make coffee. She also asks him to sit on the sofa. She starts telling him how she is about to become the new risk manager while simultaneously making coffee as well. Dev congratulates her for the promotion but is still a bit anxious about the note. Vidya opens up a new packet of coffee as the tupperware with coffee is empty. She puts a spoon of coffee into the milk. She brings the coffee to a boil & then serves it in two mugs. She brings around the mugs into the tray and gives one of the mugs to Dev. He thanks her for the coffee & takes a sip. She also takes a sip from the mug & asks what’s going on with him. He answers just the usual work and Anvi, nothing that new. She nods and asks him if he wants some biscuits, he refuses. She takes another sip and during this sip she remembers how she forgot to throw the coffee packet. She excuses herself from the living area and enters the kitchen. She picks up the empty crushed coffee packet & goes to the dustbin to throw it. She presses the metal pad as the dustbin head flips open. She with no focus throws the coffee but as she removes her foot from the pedal, in the corner of her eye she notices a crushed piece of paper. She presses the pedal again. She picks up the piece of paper and folds it open. On the paper it’s written “Vidya, Your brother took your trophy to a pawn shop to get some cash for something he just wouldn’t tell me. Don’t call him, blame me I should have been much more firmer when he was doing that, love Mom”. Vidya, with the paper in her hand, smashes on the platform and shouts “Dev”. He gets startled and realises how his theft has been caught. He stands up in front of her & tells her to calm down a bit, he’ll explain everything. He explains how he wished to buy a necklace for Anvi & it required some more cash, he got some from their mother & just a bit more from her trophy. He promises he’ll pay her back the money from next month. She slams down on the platform and with a lot of anger tells him to be a bit secure about himself & his relationship with Anvi. She also tells him to save his own money by not taking up every request from his girlfriend plus taking her out almost every day. She also refuses the option of getting money for the trophy & asks him which shop he pawned the trophy at, she’ll buy it back. Dev gets a bit angry over the comments about his relationship & his savings. He shouts at Vidya how she should look at her own self and how insecure she is as to not having a boyfriend at all. He also tells her to be caught up in the past with everything that happened with Reema. He tells her how she just has a mechanical corporate life where she is trying to succeed just to feel of some worth & appreciation. Vidya nods along & proceeds to leave while making a comment. She tells Dev how he has been the one who hasn’t gotten past Reema & due to that only never leaves Anvi alone. She also tells him how he is becoming a total failure at life due to his incompetence to save money plus succeeding in his professional life. She asks while putting on her shoes which pawn shop he pawned her trophy. Dev is getting angrier with each passing minute. He shouts at Vidya how he’ll kill her right now. Vidya scoffs this as an empty threat and tells him how he can't even work at a call center. Dev gets really angry & goes to his father’s bedroom. Vidya asks for the name of the pawn shop in the background while he opens the closet. He opens up the drawer & takes out the pistol. He loads it with one bullet. He goes out of the room. Vidya asks him again which pawn shop. He in anger points the gun at her. She tells him to be a bit sane about this and put the gun away. He asks her the same and accept the payment deal. Both of them refuse each other’s requests. Vidya closes in on Dev and now stands in front of the gun. Dev tells her to go back further, so their parents at least remember her face. She pokes him again and tells him if he really wanted to he would’ve done by now. Dev shouts again & loads the one bullet he took from the drawer. Vidya realises he might hurt her or maybe someone else by mistake. She starts to struggle with him to control the gun. He tells her to let go or she will die. She tells him the same but asks him to let go before he hurts himself or someone else. They start struggling really hard and start punching each other just to disbalance the other. Harsh at the same time presses the button for the elevator. Dev & Vidya continue to fight to get the gun under their control. Harsh rides up in the elevator. Brother & sister starting hitting each other with some weight. Vidya hits Dev with a money-plant pot right on his arm but he still holds onto the gun. Dev is hurt really bad but still continues to hold onto the gun. Harsh meanwhile reaches the 12th floor. Every step he takes, Vidya & Dev continue to fight each other, he moves closer to his murder. Harsh unlocks his apartment door. Dev hits a strong punch from the side to Vidya. She endures but loses her grip, which seems unbreakable. Harsh steps into his vestibule area. Vidya, to get her grip back, accidentally, ends up pushing Dev’s finger to the trigger. The bullet hits the wall of their house & passes through, enters Harsh’s house & then passes through his neck before he could even realise anything, the bullet gets stuck between the walls of Harsh’s apartment & the adjacent apartment. Harsh dies for nothing even remotely related to him. Chapter III: “VIDYA’S TORMENT” Dev notices the hole made by the bullet. He pushes Vidya aside and rushes outside. He stands outside Harsh's apartment. He tries to open his front door, which yields him success. Vidya follows her brother outside & notices him opening the door of their new neighbour’s apartment. She rushes beside him. He glances at his sister, who nods, he opens the door. Both of them look down to see Harsh’s body submerged in sambhar & blood. Both of them head inside & close the door on their way. Dev stands over Harsh’s head while Vidya stands over his feet. Dev starts shaking and blaming Vidya for pushing his finger on the trigger. She doesn’t listen to what he says. She stands completely numb. Back in 11th class, Vidya & Reema used to be best of friends. They would share everything with each other, even the academics rank. Reema started to stay for sleepovers at Vidya’s house. Both the girls became really close, so did their families. Their mothers also started to get together, so did the fathers after a time. While the families were getting closer, two other people were also getting closer & intimate with each other. Falling in teenage love & developing an emotional connect. They were Dev & Reema. Vidya had no idea about this relationship. Dev was younger than Reema, so this relation became even more not obvious. Still they had fallen in love and later a couple of months later, the couple did confess to Vidya. She didn’t appreciate this at all but showed Reema how happy she was to keep their friendship intact. Dev & Vidya never developed a bond between each other rather what they only managed to develop was conflicts between each other & to not always submit to these conflicts, both of them made an understanding. They hardly talked to each other. Vidya resented Dev because he’d get praise for picking up a glass of water while she wouldn’t even get a simple pat on the back for coming top of her class for seven straight years. She adjusted to this as this was a common case with every other girl she knew. Boys get credit for doing the most menial of tasks as if they have developed a cure to cancer while on the other hand, girls could discover a cure for cancer but it’ll be treated as an menial task they have completed. Their parents poured even more oil into an already burning fire by praising Dev’s mediocre achievements as nobel prizes while discussing Vidya as an average student in front of relatives & friends. Hence, she already had a hard spot for him but now she started to really dislike him. He had taken over her achievements & now he was taking over her best friend this threatened Vidya very much. A month went by, Vidya started to adjust to the idea of Dev & Reema. She developed a routine where her friendship would be fulfilled while the couple’s relationship also remains intact. Everything was going fine, she’d even gotten amazing marks in her mid-year examinations plus she also identified certain colleges she would want to join after college. She was still not appreciated by her parents but she had already adjusted to that & she was being appreciated by her teachers & classmates. So, all this substituted for what she was missing. Life was being lived at the highest point, she could think of at that point of time and she started to believe what has been happening will continue to happen but life isn’t like that. Dev & Reema broke up, two weeks later. Vidya didn’t know anything about this happening from either side. It just sort of happened & the series of events that followed were to change Vidya’s approach to everything after this incident. Reema for a week didn’t come to school. Vidya exchanged a few words with Dev & asked him why he broke up with her but he told her it’s between him & Reema only, no one else. Both of them didn’t talk to each other that much after this argument. Vidya started to feel alone now with Reema not around for a week. Reema showed up the following week, Vidya lightened up. She didn’t respond to Vidya’s greeting, just ignored her & started talking with another girl. Vidya just gave glance & ignored this behaviour from her friend thinking she is upset. School was going on with different classes happening in succession. During one of these classes, Reema glanced around the classroom to find Vidya. She stood up & sat next to Vidya. Vidya was feeling happy that finally Reema noticed her. She grabbed her & told her how she knows she’s upset also bitching a bit about Dev being a mean & selfish person. Reema just turns towards Vidya with a surprised look on her face almost as if Vidya had said she is an undercover spy for the government. She grabs Vidya’s right index finger & tells her how she is the reason Dev broke up with her. She twists the finger just a little, Vidya feels a little bit of pain. Reema tells her how she was feeling insecure about the relationship because Reema was her best friend. She twists the finger even more, hurts Vidya but she stays still. She tells her how Dev didn’t meet with Reema when she wanted to because Vidya said no. She twists the finger completely in turn breaking the bone completely, Vidya’s eyes fill with tears still she doesn’t shout with pain. Reema tells Vidya how she trusted her & she broke her trust and wishes Vidya nothing but pain plus how much she hates her for making Dev break up with her. Her finger was completely broken but Reema’s words hurt more than a broken bone, they broke her heart. Vidya got up from the bench, eyes filled with tears & asked the teacher to go out and use the washroom. As soon as Vidya leaves the classroom the bell for recess rings. Reema also heads to the washroom following Vidya. Vidya fallens down on her knees & tears start rolling down her cheeks. Her heart was broken in a matter of minutes & she’d done nothing to deserve to be treated this way by her best friend. She holds her broken index finger & cries. Reema enters the restroom & finds Vidya down on the floor. She force grabs Vidya’s neck & tells her to stand up. Vidya cries and stands up. She asks Reema what else wishes to do that will break her heart more. Reema dismisses the question & tells Vidya this is just for her own personal pleasure. She punches Vidya in the gut, twice. Vidya coughs & falls down. She lies on the ground horizontally to Reema. Her tears now roll down from her cheeks to the ground. Reema starts kicking Vidya in her gut and continues to do so till the bell rings to indicate that Recess time is over. Reema leaves as they bell rings and as she leaves she kicks really hard in the gut of Vidya & spits on her face. Vidya lays on the ground helpless & with extreme pain. She pushes on the ground & gets up from the ground. She washes her face & opens her hair clutch and makes a tight bun. She faces herself in the mirror and starts telling herself, she has got to take control & never let anything like this happen again. She fixes her uniform and heads out the washroom. She goes ahead of her classroom & straight towards the principal office. She ignores everyone around her if she’s okay and knocks on the principal office’s door. The principal lets her in. She greets the principal & tells her she’d like to report an assault on her by Reema. Sounds of police sirens start fading in. As the sirens get louder & louder, she starts thinking of tasks to do to minimise risk of getting caught by the police. She shouts at Dev, who had been just blabbering about how both of them are going to jail. She tells him to do as she says. Two policemen get out of a police jeep. They head towards the building. While the brother & sister drag harsh’s body out of his vestibule area and into his living room. Policemen press the elevator button to go up. Dev & Vidya empty a carton big enough to store Harsh’s body. They fold his body & fit it into the carton. Policemen wait for the elevator to come. Vidya starts to clean the blood & the sambhar of the floor while Dev throws the rest of the food in the trash. He also goes to their parents’ apartment back to wipe the gun & place it back in their father’s drawer. He neatly closes the bullet box as well. Police finally enter the elevator and press 12 on it. Vidya starts to fill in the bullet hole made on Harsh’s side of the wall. Elevator stops on the 6th floor for a resident to exit the elevator. Dev fills the other side of the wall & cleans the sediments from the floor. Vidya wipes for the last time & checks for keys in the drawers and successfully finds them. The policemen exit the elevator at the 12th floor. They walk straight towards Rai's residency. They ring the bell before Vidya could exit Harsh’s apartment. She notices them through the peephole. They ring the bell again. Dev opens the door & all three of them chatter about something. Dev welcomes them inside the home & sees where Vidya went. She opens the door & tells him to chat them up, she’ll come in between the chat, all he has to do is to just keep them engaged about something she’ll drive them out of there. As directed by Vidya, Dev does engage the policemen in dialogue. He chats them up and twists & turns to find the reason for their visit. Both the policemen, reveal they needed Mr. Rai’s help regarding a case. Dev previously sweating, eases a bit. Vidya presses the bell, just as Dev tells that his father isn’t home at the moment. He excuses himself from the policemen and opens the door for his sister. She greets him and with a surprise in her voice greets the policemen. She straight up asks them about the purpose of their visit. She, like her brother, tells them that their father is unavailable at the moment. Policemen then ask the brother & sister to allow both of them to leave . Both of them nod in the affirmative. One of the policemen on his way out notices a small piece of wall on the floor. He tells the brother & sister to have an architect check the wall out. Vidya acknowledges the suggestion, thanks the policeman for it but her eyes quickly glance at Dev in disappointment & anger at the same time. The policeman thanks her for that but also notices the quick glance from Vidya as well. Dev closes the door. Vidya stands outside on the balcony to see the policemen leave. Dev joins her as well. He shows her the card of the policeman, which states his name as Abhimanyu Sharma, an IPS officer at one of the police stations that came under their father when he used to be a police commissioner. Abhimanyu along with his accompanying officer sits in the car. Abhimanyu tells how his gut feeling is telling him something may have happened here. He notes down on something on his notepad. Chapter IV: “Disposing, Body” Harsh’s phone starts ringing in his jeans, but no one can hear it. He still is laying adjusted in a carton that contained all his books & notebooks. His blood is dripping from the carton and spilling on the carpet. His blood has been wiped clean from his vestibule area. His take away dosa is on his counter, untouched. Phone continues to ring. The hole in the wall, from where the bullet came, is filled but parallel to where the bullet came from the bullet is stuck in the wall, still. The phone stops ringing as soon as Vidya opens the door. She looks around & starts thinking how to dispose of the body. She walks right past the bullet stuck in the wall. She starts thinking efficient ways to get the body out of here. The phone starts ringing again. The sound alerts Vidya & she switches on the light. She notices blood on the carpet & the drops from the carton. She walks around the pool of blood & opens the carton. Phone rings louder & its sound echoes around the room. Vidya holds her breath & reaches inside Harsh’s jeans. She takes out the phone & Harsh’s mother is calling him. She cuts the calls & sends a busy tone. She uses Harsh’s fingerprint to unlock the phone. She sees 55 messages from the past hour & half. Time reads 8:25 PM. She opens whatsapp. She slides to see four whatsapp accounts with the recent messages. Mostly from the office group, some freelancing coder group, some guy with a name Vishwa and the most recent message from his mother. She is asking him, why is he not answering her call & asking him to confirm when will he be receiving her at the station. Vidya starts thinking and scrolls to check out at what time exactly Harsh's Mum will be coming to Delhi. She finds out she will be coming the day after tomorrow in the evening. She starts thinking of a reply message to stop her from coming here. She replies by telling Harsh’s Mum to not come the day after tomorrow but come in a month. She explains in the next message as to why she shouldn’t come. She tells her as Harsh that he has a really big assignment which would require him to work continuously for a month & won’t be able to attend to her properly. Hence, she should visit next month around the same time. She puts the phone on the counter & leaves Harsh’s flat. She opens the gate for her parents’ apartment. Dev is greeting their parents & is preparing to leave. Mr. Rai sees Vidya & asks her where she was. She simply replies, just went for a walk. Dev greets her as well & goes to the door. Vidya offers to see Dev out & goes out the door as well. She gets really angry at Dev for just leaving her alone to deal with Harsh’s body. He continues to walk towards the lift while Vidya continues to rant. She tells him that they need to dispose of the body plus Harsh’s Mother is supposed to visit him in 2 days. She has made an attempt to delay that but they need to cover their trail. Dev stands numb & tells his sister to keep quiet for two minutes, they’ll talk near his bike. Both of them exit the elevator & head towards the basement. Dev starts talking. He tells Vidya to keep an eye on the night as no one hangs around Harsh's apartment. In the evening tomorrow, he’ll come around to help Vidya dispose of the body. Vidya agrees to this but tells Dev this plan needs to be modified to reduce risk & increase efficiency. She asks where he is headed right now, he answers to pick up Anvi from a party. She asks him to pick Anvi first & then whenever he gets the time, find a incenirator to burn the body. She specifies him to find one really far away from here, maybe in the outskirts of the surrounding states. Dev agrees but asks what Vidya will do while he finds an incineration place. She answers she’ll be wrapping his body plus handling whatever message comes from his office, friends & family. Dev gets on his bike & puts on his helmet. Vidya starts telling him to be careful & not to use his phone to find an incinerator. Dev ignores everything Vidya gives a warning for & tells her to calm down and that he knows what to do. He waves his hand as he leaves on his bike. Vidya gets a bit worried with the complacency in Dev’s voice but realises she has to trust him for just the night, even if he doesn’t find she’ll find one in the morning. Dev picks Anvi up from the party. He drops her at her apartment & gives her a good night kiss. He puts his helmet back on & prepares to leave. Anvi asks Dev if he can spend the night here with her only. He agrees & tells her to call the lift while he parks his bike. Both of them enter Anvi’s apartment. She asks him if he needs water or something else to drink. He asks if there’s any orange juice, he’d appreciate that. She answers there is orange juice. She pours him one glass & pours one for herself as well. She invites him over to the bedroom. He takes his shoes off & follows her into the bedroom. She turns on the air conditioner. Both of them sit next to each other, on the bed. Dev asks her why she wants him to spend the night. Anvi answers simply she needs him tonight & that she had a horrible time at the party. He cuddles her up to comfort her. He pulls up the quilt to cover both of them. He asks her if she wishes to watch a movie or some tv show. Anvi says yes & he turns on the television. He puts on the film “Ram-Leela”, which they were watching when they spent their last night together at Anvi's house. While Dev & Anvi are having their romantic movie time, Vidya just finished her reports for tomorrow’s office work. Her now complete focus is on Harsh & his apartment. She stealthily sneaks out of the apartment without disturbing her parents. She looks around the corridor to see if no one’s around & then enters Harsh’s apartment. Her first objective is to check on the natural decomposition of the body plus if the blood is causing any problem, which as it turns out both the things are happening. The living room carpet is completely soaked in blood & the smell of his body’s natural decomposition is evident as soon as you go past the vestibule area. Vidya pulls her hair open & makes a really tight bun. She firstly goes to his bathroom to find some kind of air or room freshener but finds none. She then makes a bandana from a handkerchief & puts around her nose & mouth. She then looks in the still unpacked cartons. She looks on the carton marked as ‘bathroom accessories’, she finds two this time. She sprays the one with a lavender smell all around the house & then looks around to clean the carpet, plus a different location for Harsh’s body. She puts all the cartons in one of his bedrooms & the one with his body in another. Then she starts scrubbing the carpet & the floor to clean as much blood as possible. She’s able to clean as much as she could but the carpet unintentionally has been dyed in a lightish red shade. She understands that the carpet is a lost hope & hence she puts it one of the cartons & packs it up properly. She then cleans the blood from the floor & is able to wipe it crystal clear. Now her attention is to deal with Harsh’s body. She first treats his neck wound first with the first aid kit. She manages to stop the bleeding & in the neck hole created by the bullet she puts cotton dipped in an antiseptic solution. In that process, she notices that the bullet went through his neck leaving wounds on either side of his neck. She stares into the ceiling about the bullet & then shrugs it off & continues to deal with the body. Meanwhile, Anvi has dozed off & Dev swiftly leaves on her bed. He then remembers how he has to look for an incineration place. He hits something in the dark which inadvertently wakes Anvi up from her sleep. She asks him where he is going. He dodges by saying he got up to drink a glass of water. She turns on the light & gives him a glass of water. She asks him to come to bed. He goes to bed with her & puts his arm around her. He gives up on going out physically to look for an inceniration place. He instead looks on his phone which Vidya warned him to not do. He just looks directly for the place without even using incognito or private web to search for this place. While Vidya finally is able to completely cover Harsh’s body somehow & in the process all her clothes have been covered in bits of blood. She leaves her clothes to deal with later & now checks Harsh’s phone. She unlocks it with swipe up as she has already removed the passcode & fingerprint scanner to make it easy to unlock. She checks his messages. His mother has replied telling him she’ll visit him next month, when he receives his first month salary. This relieves Vidya but she gets a tear in her right eye. She replies as Harsh to his mother, ‘thanks maa, love you’. The tear rolls down her cheek as she writes the message as this makes her feel a bit guilty about doing what she is in process of & what she has done. She checks the rest of the messages which are still from the office group, the freelancing group & the guy named Karan. She leaves them unread considering she’ll deal with them once the body has been taken care of. She then heads back to her apartment. She stealthily sneaks back in & locks herself in her room. She takes her blood soaked clothes off & throws them into a plastic garbage bag to dispose later. She slips into a tee & pyjamas. She switches off the light & unlocks her phone to remind Dev to find the incineration place. She locks her phone & goes to sleep. Vidya wakes up at 7:30 AM. She unlocks her phone & reads the messages from Dev. He tells her that he’ll first go to pay the guy in the evening & in the night about one from midnight they’ll bring around the body. Vidya agrees & tells him that they’ll drive there by using her car. Dev goes to the incineration place to pay half of the payment. The owner of the incineration place takes the payment & informs Dev how he also has gun for hire as well if he needs protection. Dev just tells the owner he’ll think about it & leaves in a rush. Dev reaches the apartment building & calls the lift. He presses 12th. He exits the elevator & proceeds towards Harsh’s apartment. He messages Vidya to tell her that he’s here. She replies, everything is ready & she’ll come out in a minute. Dev stands against the wall between his parents & Harsh’s apartment. His sister very silently comes out of the apartment. He gets alerted by her presence. She nudges him to the side to open Harsh flat’s door. Both of them head inside & close the door on their way in. Vidya tells Dev how she was really busy with finding a metal box to fit in Harsh’s body. Dev just nods his head. Vidya continues to tell him how she first wrapped him in plastic & sprayed three entire cans of room freshener. Dev still nods along & tells her that they should get a move on as they have really less time. Vidya agrees & goes to the other side of the box to pick it up. Dev picks it up from the other side. They head towards the main door. They go past the hole in which the bullet was stuck but now it’s empty. They get the box out of the apartment & on the way out Dev with his leg just shuts the door. They keep the box near the lift. Dev calls the lift, while Vidya goes to lock the door. She hurries & joins Dev to lift the box vertical to fit in the lift. Dev presses basement level one. Vidya says let’s hope this doesn’t stop on any other floor. As soon as she says that the lift stops on the 3rd floor. Both the brother & sister take a deep breath. The lift doors open & out stands a really fit looking Man. He enters the lift, the doors close on his way in. He raises his finger to press the basement level one button but stops as Dev had already pressed it. He by the looks on his face looks a bit angry. While Dev & Vidya hold their breaths plus the metal box. The lift stops at Basement level one & the man exits the elevator very furiously, but even in that moment he shows courtesy to the brother & sister by asking if they need help with their box. Vidya agrees instantly which surprises Dev very much. He takes Vidya’s side of the box. They start walking towards the grey CR-V. He starts telling both Dev & Vidya about how his kid keeps running away from the mistakes he makes. He says “One can outrun his or her sins for sometime & even the justice he or she must face for committing those sins but for how long can one run, at a certain point he or she will face their sin & the justice that comes with it”. He helps Dev & places the box in the boot of the car. He shakes both of their hands & tells them to have a good night. Vidya & Dev stand a while thinking possibly about what the man said & how they are exactly running away just like his kid. Vidya tells Dev that they need to leave, time is running out. Dev sits in the passenger seat while Vidya starts the car. They drive out of the basement & head towards their destination, most possibly to be done with this & like the man said outrun their sin. They reach the incineration place at around 30 minutes after midnight. They take out the metal box & handover it to the incinerator to dispose of Harsh's body. Both of them watch the process of how they are incinerating the body, Vidya heads to the car to check something on her phone. She opens the car door & picks her phone, at that same time she sees Dev’s phone alerting him about something. She reaches out to the phone & sees what’s the alert. The phone notification reads, ‘how was your experience at the incineration place’. This shocks Vidya & she runs towards Dev. She reaches him & asks him how he found this place. He with his full attention towards the incineration of Harsh’s body answers on the internet. Vidya pushes him & tells him why didn’t he tell her that before. He just starts to realise how he spoke the truth. Vidya shouts at him how she told him not to do that & he did it anyway. At the same point of time, Abhimanyu Sharma along with his subordinate arrive at the apartment building. He exits his police jeep & rushes to press the elevator button. The lift arrives & both of them enter it. Press the button for the 12th floor. They exit the elevator & head towards Mr. Rai’s apartment. They press the bell repeatedly, the old couple wakes up from their sleep & opens the door to find the police at their doorstep. Abhimanyu simply asks Mr. Rai “Where are your son & daughter?” CHAPTER V: “Justice, knows” A man enters a police station & asks the hawaldar where the senior officer of this station is. The hawaldar asks the man what he wishes to speak with the senior officer. He tells the hawaldar he wishes to file a missing persons report. The hawaldar asks the man to file the report to him only. The man shows his card & tells the hawaldar, “go ask your sahab if he can file my complaint or not”. The hawaldar reads the card & leaves at once to ask permission of his ‘sahab’. The senior officer is one & only Abhimanyu Sharma. The hawaldar asks his permission to come in, he allows him in. He hands Abhhimanyu the card & informs him the man whose name is written on the card is here to file a missing person report. Abhimanyu reads the name on the card & it reads senior officer Karan Iyer, Gwalior. He isn’t as surprised as the hawaldar was & he asks the hawaldar to escort him in. Karan enters Abhimanyu's office & shakes hands with him. Abhimanyu asks him who is missing that Karan had to come this far from his station. He continues to ask how Karan could have come in the morning or send some subordinate to file the report. Karan simply answers that the missing person is his brother, Harshvardhan Iyer. Abhimanyu nods & understands why Karan has come all this way. He asks him where does his brother stay & how long since he hasn’t made any contact with family members or friends. Karan answers Harsh hasn’t made contact with his office today at all plus he was supposed to pick him from the Airport last night. Karan continues to speak, how at first he thought Harsh may be busy with work & just simply forgot to receive him, but then this morning he went to meet his brother at his office, he wasn’t there as well. He called his mother to ask her if she knows if he has gone somewhere. She replies how he messaged that he has some big assignment & will be busy for the next month or so. Karan continues to tell Abhimanyu that he then got the address for his apartment & went straight there to see if he is there but still no luck as there was a lock outside his home. Karan tells that then he came straight to this police station. Abhimanyu notes everything & asks Karan what Harsh's address is. He lives at 1206 Veda Apartments, answers Karan. Abhimanyu stands up from his chair. He immediately realises that former commissioner Mr. Rai lives in 1205 Veda Apartments & his suspicion on his children now became stronger. Karan asks Abhimanyu what happened, to which Abhi simply answers that he may want to come along with him. They drive away in a police jeep. They reach Veda Apartments. Abhi presses the button to call the lift. The lift reaches the ground floor & both the IAS officers enter the lift. Abhi presses the button for the 12th floor. They exit the elevator & head towards Harsh’s apartment. Abhimanyu notices Vidya waiting outside her parents’ apartment. He approaches her & asks her why she is standing outside. She adjusts her throat & simultaneously her mother opens the door for her. She then simply tells Abhi how she just came from work and was waiting for her mother to open the door. She excuses herself & goes inside. Her mother, Mrs. Rai asks Abhimanyu what he is doing roaming around here. Karan intervenes & answers they are here on official purposes & she should head inside. Mrs. Rai heads inside & closes the door on her way in. Karan asks Abhimanyu to do things faster as Harsh’s life could be in danger. Abhimanyu tries to open the door but it’s as Karan said locked. He starts picking the lock. He keeps trying & finally he does get it open. Suddenly, Mr. Rai comes rushing out of his apartment. He comes right at Karan & Abhimanyu. He shouts at them for behaving unprofessionally with his daughter & wife. Mr. Rai doesn’t know yet that it’s Abhimanyu, he only sees Karan whom he doesn’t know at all. Abhimanyu immediately recognizes the voice of his former commissioner Mr. Rai. He gets up & apologizes for his behaviour. Mr. Rai sees his protege & all his anger cools down. He asks Abhi what he is doing here & who is the man beside him. Abhimanyu answers he is here on a case relating to Mr. Rai’s new neighbour Harshvardhan Iyer & this man here is senior officer from Gwalior Karan Iyer, elder brother of Harsh, who at this point of time is missing. Mr. Rai puts his hand on Karan’s shoulder & praises him for not breaking the law by taking matters into his own hands. Karan bows down to pay respect to the compliment. Mr. Rai says to help both of them with the inspection of the apartment. Abhimanyu opens the door & enters the apartment, Mr. Rai & Karan follow him in. Vidya, at the same point of time also leaves the apartment, telling her mother some emergency has popped up at the office. The three men carrying justice in their hearts enter the apartment. Karan heads into the apartment with a quest to find his brother, Abhimanyu has his suspicion on Vidya & Dev and Vidya standing outside the apartment upon his arrival is just making his suspicion stronger & Mr. Rai, a man who carries law above everything. They start looking around the apartment. Karan smells & tells both Mr. Rai and Abhimanyu, lavender air freshener. Karan goes to one of the bedrooms while Mr. Rai goes to another. Abhimanyu stays in the living area & notices a carpet missing due to markings left by it. He takes his notepad out & notes it down. He walks around the kitchen, opens a few drawers, cupboards & shelves, most of them empty. He notes that down as well. He walks out of the kitchen & starts walking towards the vestibule area of the apartment. He starts observing the walls, very closely. He stands back side to the wall with the bullet stuck in it. He stares in the opposite wall for thinking & then turns around with his arms crossed. He faces the wall with the bullet & notices in an instant. He with his handkerchief pulls the bullet out. He starts observing the hole created by the bullet, this reminds him of the hole parallel to this, he saw yesterday evening in Mr. Rai’s house. His pupils dilate. His suspicion is almost now right. Abhimanyu asks Mr. Rai if he could get some water from his house. Mr Rai. agrees & invites him in. He tells Mr. Rai to go on as he starts observing the wall at the same parallel height where he found the bullet. He pushes his finger & finds the same sized bullet hole. He even pushes the Harsh’s side filling & is able to see the entire trajectory of the bullet. He opens the door & leaves the apartment. He calls for Karan. Karan all this while has been searching for something in Harsh’s bedroom as he puts up the bedsheet to look under the bed, Abhimanyu calls for him, he notices a big metal box but Abhimanyu calls for him again, hence he leaves the apartment. Abhi tells him that he has found this bullet & that they need to get examined by the forensics department. Mr. Rai brings a glass of water but finds Abhi has already left. Abhimanyu gets the forensics report & there is a thumbprint on the bullet shell as he suspected. The report also tells how it has been stuck in the wall for over a day. He calls Karan to come to the police station. Karan went back to his hotel to inform his mother what had been going on & to be ready with the possibility that Harsh may have died. This breaks Mrs. Iyer & Karan cuts the call. Karan puts on his holster & equips himself with a handgun. He puts on a jacket to hide the gun. He is about to leave his room & then suddenly gets a call. He holds his walk & takes his phone out. The name of the caller shocks him as it says ‘Harsh’. He picks up the call & answers to ask who’s this. The caller with disturbance in the audio tells Karan “Your brother is at the location, I am sending you to your whatsapp you have three hours to reach or else you won’t see him again”. Before Karan could say anything the call was cut. He opens his whatsapp to see if any message has been sent or not. The most recent message is from Harsh. He reads what the message is & it does have location and he opens the location link. The travel time from his location shows two hours & forty minutes, the location is in the outskirts of Noida. He opens Abhimanyu’s contact but then sees the time. He locks his phone & heads out of his home. He calls for a cab & asks the cab driver to drive out to the location on his phone. Meanwhile, Abhimanyu keeps on trying to reach out to Karan but then finally gives up. He calls for his sub-inspector & asks him to come along with him. Both of them drive out in the police jeep. Karan at the same time is sitting in the car getting anxious every minute that goes by. Abhimanyu reaches Karan’s hotel. He asks the receptionist if he is in his room, the receptionist says no. Karan keeps checking his phone to see if anymore updates but nothing comes except Abhimanyu trying to reach him. Abhimanyu then along with the sub-inspector drove out of the hotel. He tries calling Karan again & the bell keeps ringing but this time he answers the call. He tells Abhimanyu about the message & informs him he is going to the location. Abhimanyu tells him to send him the location as well, he’ll reach there as well. Karan obliges with the request. Abhimanyu along with the sub-inspector begin their journey to the location. Abhimanyu & Karan hope to find at least Harsh at the provided location but they also know at the back of their heads that this just may be a false location, yet they hope. Karan reaches the location five minutes before it’s three hours. He pays the cab driver & tells him to leave. The location is an old & deserted factory. He takes his gun out the holster & loads it. He starts walking towards the factory. He enters the factory through a side door in the front. He takes out his phone & switches on its flashlight. He starts walking inside the factory looking for his brother in desperation. He had remained calm even when he found out that Harsh might be dead but now being given hope by the caller that he might find his brother here, he shouts ‘Harsh!Harsh!Harsh!’, but there isn’t a soul alive in the factory except him. He starts running & looking for something that was his brother’s but nothing except dirt covers the ground in the factory. He falls down on his knees. Suddenly, someone approaches from the front door & behind him another man as well. Karan takes cover behind a pillar. He clicks his gun & opens fire on the two shadow figures. This takes both the figures by surprise & both of them also take cover. A complete shootout begins & bullets flying both ways. One of the shadow men shoots Karan in his left thigh which breaks his balance & he falls down. He starts shooting aimlessly but the gun is shot out of his hand. Karan accepts his defeat & just waits for both of the shadow figures to come down. Both the shadow figures reach to him & karan immediately points his phone flashlight at their faces & it’s none other than Abhimanyu & the sub-inspector with him. Abhimanyu is shocked & apologises for shooting Karan in the thigh. Karan tells him he was only doing his job. Abhimanyu asks him if he found anything. Karan tells him there is nothing here except dirt. Abhimanyu asks Karan if he tried calling Harsh’s cell when reached here. Karan tells him he didn’t, Abhi tells him to try that out once. He calls on Harsh’s phone & the phone’s start ringing in the Southeast corner. Abhimanyu tells the sub-inspector to get the phone. Abhimanyu at the same time gets a call from the police station. The hawaldar on the phone informs him that Vidya & Dev’s phone records plus their web search record, Abhi asks him to send the same to him on his whatsapp. The hawaldar agrees & the sub-inspector at the same time brings the phone. He hands the phone to Karan. Abhimanyu meanwhile checks the photos of the phone & web records of Dev & Vidya’s. He finds nothing of interest in Vidya’s records. He opens Dev’s, nothing special on his call history as well but on his web search he finds the search for ‘incineration place’ & then the subsequent information from that search & finds the location of the incineration place where he may have gone to burn Harsh’s Body. He shows this to Karan. Meanwhile, travelling in their car to the incineration place are Dev & Vidya. Vidya then starts telling Dev how she misdirected the police & Harsh’s brother to a false location by using Harsh’s phone only. She continues telling him how not using any of their phones to search this place will help them remain out of suspicion. Dev nods & looks outside the window, thinking of how he used his phone to find this place making Vidya’s plan less effective. Abhimanyu drives to Veda Apartments before heading to the incineration place to inform Mr. Rai of what is about to happen. He rings the bell repeatedly till Mr. Rai opens the door. He asks Abhimanyu what he is doing at this time of the day. Abhi simply answers that the evidence he has collected his son & daughter are prime suspects in the suspected murder of Harshvardhan Iyer. Mr. Rai loses his balance but is prevented from falling down by Abhi himself. Abhi tells him to rest & now he is going to their last known location. Mr. Rai tells Abhimanyu before he takes them to the police station bring them here, he wishes to see them away from other people. Abhimanyu nods along & leaves to arrest Dev & Vidya. He sits in the car with Karan in the backseat ready to bring the brother & sister in. Mrs. Rai helps Mr. Rai to lie down on the bed & then picks her phone up to message Vidya warning her about the police coming to arrest both of them. At the same time, Dev pays the incinerator in full as Harsh’s body has turned into ashes. While Vidya stands beside the car with her phone in her hand. She receives the message from her mother warning her about the police. Dev approaches her & informs her how the job is done. Vidya turns her hand & shows him the message sent by their mother. He reads while Vidya stays silent. He turns around & feels that had he not used his phone to find the location maybe they would never be in this situation. Vidya asks him “Wasn’t hurting me by turning my best friend enough for you that now I’ll be going to Jail because of your casualness?”. Dev turns around & says “You never heard from me why I told Reema you are the reason for mine & her breakup?”. Dev stands with tears in his eyes as the camera closes on him. CHAPTER VI: “DEV’S TRAGEDY” Some days before their eventual break-up, Reema calls Dev. He picks up the phone & answers. She tells him to come & meet her, Dev refuses & tells her they’ll meet tomorrow after his exam. He informs her that tomorrow is a very important 10th board exam & he needs to prepare well. He cuts the call in the dismay of Reema, who takes this as Dev being not that serious about this relationship. He after the exam does meet her. Both of them go to the terrace of the school, since no one is there most of the time. He sits next to her on a ledge & tells her how amazing his exam went. He notices Reema being not that interested in how his exam went. He tries to hold her hand, she resists & gets up. He also gets up to ask her if he has done anything wrong. She turns to him & slaps him really hard on his right cheek. The slap hurts Dev really hard but he even then asks at least to tell him what wrong has he done. She tells him the wrong he did was not to meet her yesterday when she called. Dev instantly replies he told her why he couldn’t meet her yesterday. She tells him if he was serious about her he would meet her at every chance he gets. Dev quickly realises that rather than having a futile argument he’ll just apologise & do as she says. This makes Reema happy & hopeful that now they’ll meet whenever she tells him to. Dev then obliged to every request made by her but this took a toll on his exam. Hence, one day his mother didn’t let him go outside to meet Reema & study for his exam that is the day after tomorrow. He wasn’t even able to communicate to Reema that he won’t meet her plus didn’t make any contact with her the next day as well. His only choice was to meet her on the day of the exam itself. He gave his exam & was able to get Reema to meet him on the roof again. Reema told him to meet her at her house. Both of them went & Reema closed her room’s door. She tells him her parents aren’t home & so he has nothing to worry about. Dev tells her why he wasn’t able to meet her for the past two days. Reema tells him that he made mistakes & hence he deserves punishment. Dev readily agrees whatever she wishes, he’ll oblige. Reema opens her wardrobe & takes out a belt. Dev sees the belt & asks what Reema plans to do with the belt. Reema tells Dev that he just told her he’ll oblige with whatever request she demands of him. Dev nods & she tells him to take his shirt off. She tells him to get down on his knees. Dev obliges with all of her requests. He sits down on his knees shirtless. Reema first slaps Dev really hard six times, these slaps bring tears in his eyes but he sits straight as he knows the slaps were just a beginning. Reema wraps the belt around her arm & starts hitting vigorously Dev. He takes it all & when Reema stops and she tells him to tell her that “I am sorry madam, I from now on will oblige with your every request”. Dev repeats what Reema told him to say. Reema tells him then to put his shirt on & leave. Dev’s chest, shoulders & back have red marks from the belt, he puts on his shirt to cover them. He leaves as soon as he buttons the last button. His tears are now flowing with nothing stopping them. He enters his house & takes an ice-tray with him and locks himself in the bathroom. He takes his shirt off & starts rubbing the ice cubes on the red marks. He feels so much pain that the cube in his fingers falls down on the bathroom floor. He lies down on the bathroom floor & his tears start flowing again. He feels so much pain not only physically but the emotional pain from being treated like an animal by the person he loves the most. Dev tells Vidya “She then continued to hurt me whenever she felt like for a couple of weeks & then I couldn’t take it anymore and I decided to break up with her. I was so much in love with her that I couldn’t tell her that she has a flaw, I guess I just wanted to maintain that she is perfect & hence at that time I thought making you the reason for break up would stop her from hurting me. I honestly thought about myself only & indirectly made her hurt you and then I not only lost her plus I pushed you away as well.(tears roll down Dev’s eyes) Now after all these years I have a chance to change that mistake & maybe revive some kind of brother & sister relationship between us. After all, I was the one who pulled the trigger. You weren’t there at all, I was just playing with Papa’s gun & in my naivety I killed our new neighbour who did nothing to deserve that. They already know that I searched for this place & hence, I am ready to take all the blame, I deserve to pay for my sins. It’s like the man said no matter how much a sinful person runs from justice, a day will come where he will give in & that day justice will be delivered to him. Today is mine.” Vidya tells Dev “No, you aren’t doing any of this & I think we can still come with one final plan to overcome this hurdle as well, just this time do as I say & I believe we might just come through this as well”. Vidya pulls her phone out & tells Dev to come with her. CHAPTER VII: “INCINERATION, BODIES” Abhimanyu, Karan & the sub-inspector reach the incineration place. The sub-inspector parks the police jeep near Vidya’s Car. Abhi steps out of the vehicle & looks around to find Vidya & Dev in the darkest hour of the night but not a single soul is present. He goes near Vidya’s vehicle & from the window looks inside to see if any of them is inside the vehicle. The sub-inspector with his gun out gestures Abhimanyu towards the incineration place. Both of them start walking towards the incineration place. Suddenly from behind the sub-inspector is shot right in the head & his blood splatters all over Abhi’s face. Abhi becomes highly alert & takes cover behind the incineration place. Another shot is fired from the same direction. Abhimanyu loads his gun & peeks from his cover to see where the shooter is but due to no light he is unable to see anything clearer. Another shot is fired. Abhi is getting anxious & he starts breathing really fast. Another shot is fired & another right after, this time the bullet goes through the door and right past Abhi’s left ear. Abhi takes a deep breath & starts firing aimlessly to change his cover. He starts running in crouching posture while the shooter also shoots but misses every single shot. Abhi now takes cover behind Vidya’s car. He is near the police jeep. He loads another magazine & peeks in the direction of the shooter but still is unable to see anything. He swiftly changes cover to the passenger door of the police jeep. He knocks on the backseat window. Karan laying on the ground to hide himself from the shooter opens the door. Abhi gestures to him to hand the rifle to him. Karan obliges & hands the rifle to Abhimanyu. He also takes the box of ammunition for the rifle with him as he again switches cover behind Vidya’s car. The shooter shoots again misses again. Abhi takes a peek to locate the shooter while loading his gun. He places the rifle on the edge of the boot of the car. He through the scope now tries to find the shooter. He looks at the terrace of the nearby building & he does see some movement. He smiles a little & shoots his shot. The bullet goes right through the scope & right in the eye of the shooter. He loads the rifle with another bullet & starts looking to see if there are any other shooters. He looks at the same building, the one adjacent to it & the next one and he checks almost every rooftop there is but finds no other shooter. He looks to his right & there is Dev who shoots Abhimanyu right in the face. Abhimanyu’s finger was on the trigger & he also shot Dev in the gut as well. Both of them go down in an instant. Abhimanyu dies instantly but Dev does have some breath left. Vidya watches the whole encounter from the above & she rushes down as soon as she sees Dev down on the floor. She holds his gut wound tight & she tells him to keep his eyes open. He tells her “Get out of here, even if you hold this for five minutes or five hours I will die inevitably so get out of here, just tell mum & dad I am sorry. And sister I am sorry for Reema, I am really sorry & here take this card for the pawn shop, let me sleep now”. Vidya takes the card & takes her hands away from his wound allowing the blood to come out. Dev glups blood out of his mouth as he closes his eyes. Vidya kisses goodbye with a kiss to forehead. She calls for the incinerator guy to incinerate Dev’s body as well as Abhimanyu’s. She cries as she places the card in her back pocket. She pays the incinerator money for his gun as well as the incineration services. She nods & exits the incineration place. She closes the door behind & as she turns around to go sit in her car she is shot in the head by the injured Karan. She dies instantly as Karan also falls onto the ground. The incinerator guy comes out with his gun & shoots Karan dead as well. He calls for his workers to drag these bodies inside & start all the incinerators. Abhimanyu & Dev’s bodies are already burning and now Vidya’s, Karan’s & the sub inspector’s are being ready for incineration. Dev’s phone still in the car gets a call from his mother just like Harsh’s mother did. Just the difference this time is that there isn’t anyone to tell her everything is okay & that he’s just feeling a little bit of heat from work.
