Synopsis/Details
Hamlet is a tragedy that follows Prince Hamlet of Denmark as he seeks revenge against his uncle Claudius, who has murdered Hamlet’s father, taken the throne, and married Hamlet’s mother, Gertrude. Haunted by the ghost of his father, who demands justice, Hamlet grapples with grief, betrayal, and the morality of revenge.
Feigning madness to uncover the truth, Hamlet’s behaviour causes chaos at court and leads to the downfall of many, including the innocent Ophelia, who is driven to madness and death. As the bodies pile up and tensions rise, the play hurtles toward a bloody climax where nearly all major characters, including Hamlet himself, meet a tragic end.
