Heartland

Their photo trip ends horribly wrong when Natalie and Taylor crash their car amidst the endless fields of America’s heartland. Help arrives in the form of a fake Police Officer, who sets a raging monster on Taylor. After a vicious fight, Taylor is killed and the Officer abducts Natalie. Meanwhile, Thomas, a young man plagued with panic attacks, tries to find his missing sister. After a letdown at the local police station, Thomas meets sheriff Muller in a bar. They have some drinks but are interrupted by Billy and Joe, who fight at the bar. Muller arrests the two men and leaves. Natalie is held captive with fellow inmate Charlotte, who’s pregnant – and Thomas’s sister. Natalie nearly manages to escape but is stopped by Gunnar, a disfigured sadist, and the mysterious monster who killed Taylor. Thomas finds an unexpected ally in Billy, who tells him Charlotte’s whereabouts. There, Thomas inspects a barn but only finds Joe, chained and almost dead. Thomas tries to free him but accidentally burns down the barn, killing Joe. Natalie's next escape attempt is again scotched by the monster, who turns out to be the Brother of Gunnar and the Officer – and the father of Charlotte’s unborn baby. The Officer reveals his sinister plan to strengthen his family’s sick bloodline by kidnapping young women. Natalie and Charlotte use the distraction caused by the burning barn to escape. But Charlotte’s water breaks and Natalie is forced to leave her behind. Natalie and Thomas meet at the burning barn where they are confronted by Muller, who turns out to be part of the Officer’s family. He gathers a group of Nazis, including Billy, to kill Thomas and Natalie. But Billy intervenes and enables them to flee to the house where Charlotte is held. While searching the house for Charlotte, Thomas and Natalie fend off the Nazis chasing them and fight Brother. They find a secret tunnel which leads them to Charlotte and her baby. She’s held captive by Gunnar and the Officer. Thomas kills the Officer. Gunnar accidentally shoots Charlotte and her baby. Brother arrives at the scene, realizing that Gunnar killed Charlotte and apparently her baby. In a blind rage, he kills Gunnar, destroying the building in the process. The roof collapses, burying Brother, Charlotte and the baby. Thomas and Natalie dig up Charlotte. She’s dead but the baby is alive. Together, they leave this place of horror behind.
