Synopsis/Details
Alex is a young talented MMA athlete and gains a place on the national team to compete for the title of World Champion. Pushed to his physical limits by his 2 charismatic coaches and driven by competition with his obnoxious, but talented team mate, he becomes a better fighter and a valued member of the team, but Alex carries a dark past that threatens to invade his future and could bring everything he is working towards, crashing down around his feet. As part of a probation order Alex reluctantly visits a counsellor and although he struggles to trust anyone, he must overcome and let go of his haunting childhood before it destroys him. Isiah is a former mixed martial arts contender, but at the age of 44 , now has the challenge of younger and faster opponents. Facing the end of a highlight career he becomes a coach at the proposal of his former trainer and finds he enjoys helping mould these young men and women into better athletes, he relishes in the role of mentor and a bond develops between Alex and Isiah through their student/mentor relationship. with the team looking ready to take the win they head to the World championship, but when a chance of one more great fight arises, Isiah is left with a choice; does he surrender his gloves and take the team to the championships, or does he compete for glory one last time inside the cage? When a team mate becomes injured outside of the arena, Alex must take his place and step up a weight class and face the undefeated Russian Stephan Krysinski, considered to be the best pound for pound fighter in the World. One coach down, a team mate in the hospital and competing against a bigger opponent, Alex must lay it all on the line to compete for the win.

I wrote my first screenplay at age 15, called Ring of dragons. It was a complete rip off of all the 1990's kickboxing films about an underground fight circuit and it was terrible. I stopped writing for a few years as work got in the way and then a fight career took off. I was a kickboxer and amateur MMA champion. I turned pro and concentrated on my cage career. I took 2 British titles and a European title, fought on cagewarriors, Total full contact and more events, I was ranked no 5 in the UK. I wrote my first feature film screenplay in 2007 about MMA.
