Horrified and disoriented, Joe flees into the streets, quickly drawing the attention of an angry mob. Desperate to escape, he hides in an abandoned building, where he confronts his new reflection and the horrifying realization of his transformed appearance. In a frenzy, Joe punches the mirror, causing the entire room to shatter like glass around him. Now trapped in a surreal nightmare of his own making, Joe must confront the prejudice within himself as he becomes a victim of the hatred he once spread.
