Synopsis/Details
The year is 1989 and the fall of Communism is imminent. Erik Lindblom, a fallen prog-rocker, is determined to rescue his younger sister, Elsa, who has been captured and brainwashed to be an assassin as part of Project Athena, a controversial experiment to create the ultimate warrior, by corrupt scientist Sorina Manescu. To do so, he gets close to Yasmin Salibi, heiress to the 5 Elements, a secret and powerful organisation with ties to Project Athena, in order to uncover the truth. In a parallel storyline set in 2019, the Rhodium Golems - three soldiers of fortune consisting of Vincenzo Corbucci, a sympathetic pilot with a weakness for damsels in distress; Nikolai Rostavili, an ex-Spetsnaz officer with a filthy mouth and a bad attitude; and Jacques Dubois, a former Gendarme with the gift of the silver tongue - inadvertently get entangled when they awaken Oriental beauty Hiroka Noguchi from cryogenic stasis during a routine scavenging mission. As the past meets the present, the mercenaries with morals and the mysterious megacorp must work together in order to thwart a renegade faction led by the evil roboticist, who plans to use Project Athena to take control of the 5 Elements in order to shape the future of humanity.
