Colt Taylor, aspiring fashion designer, believes his dream of making it big has been thwarted by a gay cosmic conspiracy. Through an unlikely turn of events, Colt finds himself living with Fantasia, a transgender woman, and Colt soon learns that pretending to be gay may only amplify his failures. It’s Tootsie meets The Devil Wears Prada. Writer's note: The idea for this script originally gestated for me back 2003 , but I never put pen to page until 2010 following the death of a close friend of mine who was a costumer, whose friendship inspired the idea. I took a long break from writing for a number of years while working in production. I decided to take one last run at In-Side-Out in to get my writing brain back in gear. I feel like the subject of this script is too many years too late, and the conversation about sex and sexuality has (thankfully) progressed greatly since the early 2000's, but nevertheless I have uploaded it to have something under my profile while I work on finishing my current script.
