Synopsis/Details
Ravi is a simple man from humble beginnings, passionate about relationships and emotions. He collects rare herbs from the Himalayas to create medicines and sustain his modest business. Despite his financial struggles, he holds an immense value for love and family. Ravi falls deeply in love with Priya, a smart and ambitious law student from a wealthy family, but for Priya, her career is her top priority. Priya’s father, Suresh Gupta, is a successful businessman who measures everything in terms of money. He’s a man who believes wealth is the key to success and happiness. His father, OP Gupta, is mentally ill and has been abandoned by Suresh after a family dispute over property. OP finds comfort in Ravi’s kindness, and though the rest of the Gupta family looks down on Ravi, OP becomes fond of him and lets him stay as a tenant. As Ravi cares for OP, Priya remains focused on her future, while Suresh continues to belittle Ravi. The turning point comes when Ravi’s mother falls gravely ill in their village, and Ravi leaves to care for her, borrowing money from OP. During this period, Suresh hires goons to beat up Ravi and even takes his bike. After months of absence, Ravi’s mother passes away, leaving him devastated, while Priya remains unaware of the sacrifices Ravi has made for her love. Priya, who is now studying in America, slowly realizes her feelings for Ravi but is too late as her father sends her abroad to distance her from him. Meanwhile, Ravi, with the help of the quirky yet brilliant family doctor, Parash Saklecha, builds a successful pharmaceutical factory. Parash is a comic yet pivotal character, whose eccentric behavior adds light hearted moments to the story, despite the gravity of the situations. In America, Priya gets entangled in a tragic racial incident where her close friend Jacee, a black woman, is murdered by corrupt police officers. Jacee’s boyfriend, Alex, a dedicated journalist, fights for justice, which deepens Priya’s understanding of social and emotional struggles. Her thoughts turn to Ravi, and she returns to India, determined to find him. The story takes another twist when Priya stumbles upon Ravi’s fantasy diary, where he has poured out his heart and written about his deep love for her. This discovery changes Priya’s perspective, and she realizes the depth of Ravi’s love. However, she is shocked when she learns that Ravi’s now-thriving business was secretly funded by none other than her father, Suresh Gupta. Despite the past hostility, Suresh had recognized Ravi’s potential and invested in his business when no one else would. In the end, Ravi’s hard work and dedication are rewarded, and Priya, now a successful lawyer who has brought about new laws against sexual harassment, comes back into his life. Their love finally blossoms, and they get married, uniting two vastly different worlds. The story ends with Suresh and Priya realizing the importance of relationships, bringing OP Gupta back from the old age home to live with them, completing the circle of family and love.
