Synopsis/Details
It’s 2079. You’re watching the pre-approved, government-sponsored TV network. It’s a commercial break. You’re never going to get the dog food jingle out of your head. The screen is hijacked by a pirate signal. A 16-year-old girl stares right at you. She’s beaten, frightened, and furious. Her name is Molly McKailson. She just watched her friends die. She wants you to see how. With the hacked signal as her canvas, Molly broadcasts the video logs of her last days as a member of The DKs: the fastest, deadliest gang of outlaws in Grid 7. She shows you a gang of fiercely loyal criminals lead by her brother, Rand, as they fight to stay alive, fed, and free in the machine-policed, poverty-stricken wasteland of the former American South. One night The DKs unknowingly steal a dangerous artifact from a government facility. By morning they are at the top of every most-wanted list. With no safehouse to hide in and no highway to run on, The DKs have no choice but to fight. A fight they know they can’t win. A fight we know they won’t all survive.

I like slashers, robots, time travel, shoot outs, and kung fu. As long as there's a little heart thrown in, figuratively or literally. My screenplays JUNKER and FINAL GIRL were Nicholl Fellowship semi and quarter finalists and earned raves from the Austin Film Festival Screenwriting Competition, Slamdance, and Script Pipeline. My most recent screenplay NIGHTSIDE is a Nicholl Fellowship semi-finalist that drew comparisons to PSYCHO and GET OUT. Go to bio
