Synopsis/Details
100 years after a revolution by the once subservient Dacians, the mighty Arcadian Empire is now a shred of its former glory, existing only on the isolated island of Sadinoel. Solon Heraclian, an Arcadian of a prominent family, lives on Sadinoel island where the quest for knowledge is the focus of all daily life. He is one of the top students in his class, and he seems destined to be one of the future leaders of Arcadian society. This all changes after Solon meets a strange girl, Rhea, who shows Solon the breeding camps where those not considered to be academically gifted are sent to so they can procreate intellectually gifted Arcadians which are needed since most of the Arcadians were lost in the Dacian revolt. However, these breeders known as Undesirables are treated as sub-human and are often forced to procreate against their will. As Rhea plans on freeing the Undesirables through an alliance with the Dacians, Solon must decide whether to side with his friends, family, and people despite his disgust with their treatment of the Undesirables, or to allow the Dacians to conquer Sadinoel and destroy the Arcadian civilization forever. Last Days in Paradise will explore how a society’s quest to improve themselves and protect what they consider to be humanity’s best qualities such as intelligence and reason involves sacrificing other human traits such as empathy, morality, and value for all human life.

The Writer: Nathan Cornell

I am an aspiring screenwriter with a tv pilot script and a feature script. I also have drafts for multiple other screenplays, however, I would like to work on those more before I post them to this site. A talent management company actually liked my tv pilot script, "Last Days in Paradise," and gave great suggestions on how I could improve my script to make it ready to be optioned. They also did it for free which was very kind. I listened to their suggestions and rewrote the script which the company later reviewed and really liked. The management company also helped me put together a series bible. That company was interested in possibly representing my script, however, they honestly told me… Go to bio
