Synopsis/Details
In the future, all human beings are immortal (or nearly immortal). As an unfortunate twist, though, they're all really really old and decrepit. Cities have been made safe for the elderly immortals by rubberizing sidewalks and cars. To prevent overpopulation, very few are allowed to have children. Gully and her husband are lucky enough to be granted permission to have a child. They've been waiting 80 years and they're overjoyed. Their daughter, though, falls in with a bad crowd and suffers a terrible accident. In the wake of the tragedy, Gully feels that her life is meaningless. So she decides to seek out a clandestine organization that is supposed to be able to make people mortal again.

The Writer: Christopher McClure

After receiving my PhD in political philosophy, publishing a book with Cambridge University Press, and doing a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University, I decided my real calling was screenwriting. I’ve been a reader for the Austin Film Festival screenplay competition and I write and produce the fiction podcast, The Milkman of St. Gaff’s. I can read Plato in Greek and was briefly the bass player in a Kiss cover band. Go to bio
