The Writer: Claire Ashton

Scriptwriter - I have written two full length feature films. One movie, ' That Jones Girl' was written as a tele-feature for the Platinum fund with New Zealand on Air/Television NZ and was developed to first draft by the network. For that, I wrote the pitch document and a comprehensive 30 pg treatment. 'Vena Cava' or 'Hostess' is an adaptation of a novel about women working in the Hostess scene in Tokyo. I wrote this during my Master's Degree in Scriptwriting at the International Institute of Modern Letters (IIML) at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand. I was awarded the Best Script prize out of a class of 10. Co-writer of a feature treatment, called 'Crazy Bitch' with writer/… Go to bio
